God Works In Mysterious Yet Often Simple Ways

In the busyness of daily life and the technology age we live, simple thing be over complicated.  Are we looking for God in the simple details of our daily lives which often can be overlooked by complicating things and just focusing on the big "stuff"?

When we gain an awareness that He is at work in our lives and with us 24/7---every hour, minute and second, we begin to see His favor in even the smallest ways.  Our faith builds as awareness grows.  We then have no doubt as God comes through on the big "stuff".

Maybe that front parking place you got today was a sprinkling of God's favor in your life.  Could it be?

God Will Hear Your Prayers

"God will hear the prayers of anyone who calls on Him.  You don't have to clean yourself up, meet any pre-requisites, rules or regulations to reach Him.  If you haven't already, call on Him today and let Him begin to change your life, for the better---in ways you never imagined."

Living the Gift of Peace & Forgiveness

There is no doubt about it—as long as we are in the world and around people, we will have opportunities to be offended. The temptation to become hurt, angry, or offended comes just as surely as any other temptation comes.  With God's help, we don't have to give in to the temptation to be hurt, angry, resentful, bitter and unforgiving.

People who want to live powerful, peaceful Godly lives, learn the power of forgiveness.  When someone hurts your feelings or is rude and insensitive, we never know what battles they may be facing---we may simply be receiving the brunt of those frustrations.  With God's help we do not have to be offended or harbor resentment and unforgiveness.  It doesn't mean that we never stand up for ourselves or what's right; but, we can live with peace and the gift of forgiveness active in our lives, forgiving as God has forgiven us.

Today, by God's grace and power within, may you find the strength to live at peace, with forgiveness, love, understanding and grace alive and well in your life, enjoying the benefits that come as a result.  In doing so may you find yourself more of who God would have you be and closer to Him each day with His peace that passes all understanding very present in your life.

- Blessed Are the Peace Makers---Overcome Darkness With Light, and Evil with Good. It Will Come Back to You Many Times Over -

"Instead of fighting darkness, light a candle or turn a light on.  Overcome evil by doing good.  Be a Peacemaker.  You will be blessed as it shall come back to you with multiplied abundance."

We all face frustrations, inconveniences, and life challenges from time to time.  How we react to these "bumps in the road"  determines our stress level, our peace, and can affect our health.  While there are things within our control, we all face things that are not.  God works in mysterious ways. You never know when He may use some inconvenience or frustration for your good.

With all the negativity that surrounds us, it is easy to become overwhelmed. "It is also tempting to fight against the negative or to declare war on it."  God is in control, and if you trust Him to work things out, you'll be able to ride the ups and downs of life with peace, joy, and strength. When these things crop up, "Do your best and let God do the rest."  Be a peacemaker.  Overcome evil with good.  You'll find that these things will come back to you many times over.

Today, Refuse to live in frustration. Take life one day at a time, relax in God's presence and be re-assured, after all, "It is what is is and GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL."

In God there is Power, Love, A Sound Mind and Faith Over Fear

"God has not given us the spirit of fear; but, power, love and a sound mind."

God is with us.  Each twist, turn and step of the way.  On the mountain tops of life and in the valleys, He is there.  He has not given us the spirit of fear, paralyzingly fear that produces a negative freezing  effect in fear of people places and things.  He guides us instead through the twist and turns of life,  directing us through our consciousness with Him and His still small voice inside, through decisions, directions, and away from the dangers that can lurk in the brightness of day, or darkness of night.  He is our shield, our protector and if we build our faith on a solid relationship with Him, our faith with overcome fear.

God gives us strength.  His power, the same miracle working, earth shaking,  power that has been evidenced for centuries, is the power that works within us, giving us strength to do and become all He would have us.

He has given us His love and in turn by His example of great love and the love that works in us, the ability to love ourselves and others.  Even when we or others seem unlovable, He makes it possible to love, be kind and treat our "neighbors" as we'd like to be treated.

He has also given us a sound mind.  If we seek Him as we are still and know that He is God, He renews our mind.  If we allow Him, He directs our thoughts to a higher plain, clear of wrong motives and filled with clarity, thoughts and knowledge to be all and do all He'd have us.

Today, find hope, joy, confidence, love and His power working within as you allow Him to cast out fear, bestow His power and love and renew your mind.  In doing so, enjoy the day, the life He'a gifted you with, the absolute assurance that He is with you and the joy and hope of knowing He has a great plan and purpose for your life, and some of your best days are yet to come!

" Friend, when you go through things that you don't understand, it's not the end.  Nothing is lost in God's Kingdom---nothing is wasted in God's economy.  God is going to appoint another seed, and that seed represents the future.  It indicates what is coming.  If you will let go of what didn't work out, let go of the hurts and pains, then for everything you've lost, God will appoint another seed.  You'll give birth to more in the future than you've lost in the past. "

" Keep praying, keep believing, keep hoping because God is for you.  Trust Him and embrace the good things He has in store for today, a new day you've been gifted and for your future!  If your alive, breathing and reading this today, God's not through with you yet.  He still has great plans and purpose for your life. Receive it today and let God take you to places you never dreamed possible! "

"God I got 'this.'  You take care of the rest."  (...and God laughs)

As we grow in our relationship with God, we learn to trust Him more.  How many times have we ( have I), in a time of surrender, kept a corner of my life or an issue to myself that I wanted to control.  "God I give you all; but I've got this 'it' under control.  You  take care of the rest."  We often think we know best, or we want something to work a certain way and we're afraid that if we leave it in God's hands it won't work out the way we desire.

Later, after pain, hitting our heads against the wall, and enduring some suffering or exhausting ourselves trying to manipulate and control "it", we finally surrender "it" to God and later realize His way was best after all.  There is no problem or issue we face to big for God or that we can handle better than Him.  He may answer our prayers in a different manner; but, more often than not, we find the outcomes He provides to be so much better, realizing we would have sold ourselves short if we had gotten what we thought was best in lieu of what He provided!

Today, trust God and His outcomes and provisions to be for your best.   Know that He always has our best interest at heart.  In doing so may you realize His best is often better than what we think is best and let Him take you to places of greater blessings, victory, provision and purpose in your life.

Gossip and God

"With God's help, guidance and living by spiritual principals in all our affairs, we try not to judge, stereotype, or moralize each other."

Let's face it, we often at times, live in a glass house of sorts.  We may be unhappy when others gossip about us; but, if we withdraw from others and isolate ourselves to avoid gossip, we also rob ourselves of the love, friendship and unparalleled experience that others have to offer.  A better way to deal with gossip is to simply accept the way things are and the way we are, and live our lives according to spiritual principals and the way we feel God would have us.  The more secure we become in God, ourselves, the decisions we make and the guidance we receive from a loving God, the less the opinions of others will concern us.

Remain committed to God--- your  will and life surrendered to Him---living under His Grace.  With His help, don't  let the opinions of others affect your relationship with Him and living your life with the greater purpose He has in store.  After all, even though we desire  good reputations, "it's not our place to worry about what others think of us,"  and  "others opinions of us are none of our business," as I have read and been told by many Godly wise spiritual mentors, full of faith (not coming from a spirit of pride or arrogance).  God knows our hearts, the truth and things done when no one else is looking.  God and I are good and that's most important.  "See to it that your relationship with Him is right and good things will come to pass for you and countless others…"

Enjoy Life As You Grow In God Each Day - Progress Not Perfection

"I'm not all I want to be; but, thank God I'm not who I used to be.  I'm OK. I'm on my way and growing in God each day!"

Being perfect sounds good; but, it isn't reality.  Reality is that we are a human being, and no matter how hard we try to be perfect, we still make mistakes.  Our heart can be perfect, in the right place per say, and our motives pure; but our performance will never be perfect in everything and every situation as long as we're on earth.

We're perfect to God and in the process of changing every day as He shapes and molds us into who He'd have us be.  It's a growing process.  We're under construction and progress is being made daily---it takes time.

Struggling for perfection to gain acceptance and approval from God or others only brings frustration and a never-ending struggle, not to mention the undue pressure it adds to daily life.  It isn't nexessary because God accepts us just as we are.  He will never pressure us to perform or demand something of us that we don't know how to give, or that He hasn't equipped us to do.  Do your best, let God do the rest, and enjoy life while you're maturing and making progress in Him each day---becoming more and more of who He's shaping you to be!

A Little Gratitude Goes A Long Way

In the midst of life happening and the "yuk" we often deal with, sometimes it easy to get bogged down and we overlook the many things we have to be grateful for.

It's been proven medically and spiritually experienced that when we begin to look at all we have to be grateful for, we feel better, our outlook on life improves and we find ourselves closer to God's presence.

Today, take a minute to stop, count your blessings and look at the many things you have to be grateful for and in doing so, find yourself renewed, refreshed and a closer to God and His presence in the process.

Saturday, September 20, 2014

"Try to see things more and more from My (God's) perspective. Let the Light of My Presence so fully fill your mind that you view the world through Me. When little things don’t go as you had hoped, look to Me lightheartedly and say, 'Oh, well, God has something better in store.'  This simple discipline can protect you from being burdened with an accumulation of petty cares and frustrations."

"If you practice this diligently, you will make a life-changing discovery.  You will realize that most of the things that worry you are not important. If you shrug them off immediately and return your focus to Me, you will walk through your days with lighter steps and a joyful heart."

"When serious problems come your way, you will have more reserves for dealing with them. You will not have squandered hours and your energy on petty problems. You may even reach the point where you can agree that all your troubles are light and momentary, compared with the eternal glory being achieved by them."

"A man’s steps are directed by God" - with - "plans for good, not evil, to give you a future and a hope." - with - "all things working to the good for those who Love Him…"

Choose Faith Over Fear/Worry

Did you know that fear, stress, worry and anxiety have been medically proven to have similar debilitating effects on the body as high cholesterol, heart disease, high blood pressure, and many more?  They can reduce the number of years you live life as well.

God's power within you is greater than the power of fear and worry.  Leave your worries and cares in God's capable hands.  Trust Him to take care of everything that concerns you and in return let Him give you His peace that passes all understanding.  Faith opens the door for God to work in our lives.  Choose Faith today and  overcome fear and worry and live in the freedom and victory God has in store for you!

We've all been there.  Misunderstandings, gossip, judgement (without knowing all the facts), etc., can create walls, distance, unforgiveness and  hurt/hard feelings between our families, friends and loved ones.  We wish it wasn't this way; but, I don't know of any family or anyone who hasn't been impacted by or gone through something similar in their life.  We are all human.  We all make mistakes.  Most of us desire peace within ourselves, our families, our friends and our loved ones.  We all need love.  We all fall short at one time or another and this is what makes God's grace so beautiful and important in our lives.

It's sad to say, but it's true,  many faith filled believers professing a relationship with God are often the ones who judge, condemn and live with unforgiveness in our hearts toward others. Often it's the ones closest, who persecute us the worst.   God has taught us in so many ways the we should be "quick to forgive and slow to anger."  Even the Lord's Prayer,  which many of us pray frequently,  has a verse that says "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us."  We are all familiar with "The Golden Rule" of loving our neighbor as ourself.  Most of us have heard or read the verse "forgive so that you may be forgiven."

So why does there have to be separation, discord, judgement and unforgiveness among us?  There doesn't.  It's a choice.  There is freedom in forgiveness. Today, if you are walking through an experience like this, don't lose hope, don't give up on God or your faith.  Turn it over to God and let Him vindicate and bring peace to the situation.  We all live under God's grace.  We all know if our relationship with Him is right and while walking through these kinds of tough times can be hard.  At the end of the day, God knows every detail, sees every tear that's cried, hears every word spoken and sees our heart. Maintaining our relationship with Him is most important--- He  is  our strong arm.  So keep the faith, turn it over to God, step back and let Him be the vindicator.  Don't let anything or anyone steal your joy, peace or serenity. "You can please some of the people some of the time; but, you can't please all of the people all of the time.  In due time God will intervene, this too shall pass, and in the mean time pray and show God's love for those who persecute and remember God is with us each step of the way.  He's promised to see us through and never leave or forsake us and if we'll simply trust Him, He WILL see us through to victory, peace and honor and take us to the greater places of blessing and favor He has planned for our good life ---" a future and a hope" ---  in Him.

Wednesday, September 17, 2014

" When, with God's help, we calmly accepted our lot, then we found we could live at peace with God, others and self.  We showed  others who had the same fears, that they could get over them too, often not just by words alone, but with God's help, simply walking through  a situation involving fear that was highly visible to them and others.   We found that freedom from fear was advantageous, than freedom from want, lack or need. "

" Material values had ruled our lives.  We believed that all of our possessions and wealth would make us happy, yet we still felt bankrupt after obtaining them---as soon as the new wore off and the void, that God sized hole was still there."

"When we came into a new found relationship with God, as we'd never experienced before, we found a new way of living life.  As a result, we learned to trust others.  We began to believe in God more than self. Having faith freed us from fear and the bondage of self."

"As material gains were replaced by the gifts of God's spirit, and we began to live in an awareness of and practice spiritual principals in all our affairs, our lives became manageable. God filled the void in our lives.  We started growing to be who He'd have us be more each day.  We shared our experiences with others, when the opportunity came.   We truly realized that 'Faith without works is dead,' and 'God is either everything or nothing at all---He either is or isn't!' "

Tuesday, September 16, 2014

" Do you desire God's best for your life?  Do you desire to find and walk in the greater purpose He has for you and receive His benefits that come in doing so?  Looking at ourselves closely and honestly, admitting our mistakes, making right any wrongs, and following God's lead involves courage and action.  ' FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD. '  He gives us courage to change the things we can. He gives us the ability to accept what we can't change and leave it in His capable hands.  He gives us the wisdom to know the difference.  He also gives us the confidence to get involved where He leads us---new activities, to be more assertive, to make new friends, to go back to school, to change jobs,to walk through new doors He opens,  etc.---to follow His lead, His best for our lives. "

" We have strength and energy to do new things, Godly things---the next right things!   It's not always easy; but, it's possible.  A day at a time, moment by moment, we are led into Godly directed action, if we stay close to Him, seek and follow His lead and do His work to the best of our ability.  Not to move according to the direction of God is to fall backward and stagnate.   It leads us away from His best---the greater purpose He has for our lives and the benefits that come with it. "

" Each positive Godly directed action we take strengthens us spiritually, strengthens and enhances our  relationship with Him and others and strengthens our overall walk with God. When we accept the things we cannot change, draw the courage to change the things we can and follow His given wisdom to know the difference, we can do our part, leave the rest with Him and walk daily with Godly peace and serenity in our lives.  Our load will be lightened, our thoughts will be on a higher plain, faith will replace worry and fear and we'll walk with some spring in our step. Do your best and let God take care of the rest. "

" Today God, direct our thoughts, words, actions and deeds, and take us into the best life you have in store for  us as we do our best to follow your lead.  Thanks God! "

Sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly, and sometimes in ways we’d least expect.  Even if you can’t imagine what’s coming next, relax. The good is still there.  It doesn't take long to look around and find much to be grateful for.

Thank God, the future is never limited by what we can see right now.  If times are tough or you are walking through difficulties, it won't always be like this---this to soon shall pass .  God's spirit and presence is in us and with us, giving us strength to make it through and shaping new ideas and beliefs.

Before we start speaking the language of letting go, we need to understand what a powerful behavior letting go and letting God really is.

"God, help me do my part. Then help me let go, and let You  do Yours."

Sunday, September 14, 2014

There are two major things that can cause self-doubt in our lives:

  1. Comparing our abilities to others.

When we compare our abilities to others, we can begin to doubt our  abilities. Instead of looking to God, we start looking at everybody else. We think other people have more talent, more abilities, more education, or more experience. The moment we start comparing ourselves to them, we begin to be filled with self-doubt.  God doesn't want you comparing yourself to anybody else. He created you to be unique. He wants you to be you and fulfill the greater purpose He has in store for you.

  1. Remembering our past failures.

Remembering our  past failures is like putting a movie in our mind of all our mistakes and playing it over and over. It can torture you and cause you to doubt your abilities. God does not want you focusing on your past. If you stay focused on your past mistakes, you can't get on with your present and God can't use you in the future. God says forget the past.

Don't let your past doubts or your past guilt, keep you from being all God wants you to be and used by Him. God essentially says, " I don't care what your past is. I have great plans and great purpose for your life---'a future and a hope.'  I want to use you! "  Today, let go of doubt and let God use you, bless you and take you to places in life you never imagined!

God Can Use Your Messy Life For Good!

One of God’s great promises is: “We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God."

What does this promise to us?

"We know...”  We're not guessing, hoping, or wishing, we know for certain.

“We know that God causes ...” Your life is not an accident. There is a grand design behind everything.

“We know that God causes everything ...”  If we stopped there, that would make God the author of evil, and He's not.

"We know that God causes all things to work together for the good ...” This does not say all things are good. They’re not! There’s evil in the world.

• Can God really bring good out of bad? Yes He can. He specializes in bringing good out of bad.

This promise is not for everybody ( “… of those who love God…" ).   It's for those who love Him and are willing to give Him the pieces of a broken life and let Him put them back together---as only He can!

• Don't Play God---Be You---Let God Be God---Let Him Do His Job. •

"Come to Me and rest. Give your mind a break from its habitual judging. You form judgments about this situation, that situation, this person, that person, yourself, even the weather—as if judging were your main function in life. But I created you first and foremost to know Me and to live in rich communication with Me. When you become preoccupied with passing judgment, you are in essence trying to play My role---yes, playing God.  Judge not, lest your be judged."

"Relate to Me as creature to Creator, child to Father, sheep to Shepherd, subject to King, clay to Potter. Allow Me to have My way in your life and take you into the greater places of purpose I have in store---receiving my guidance, wisdom, blessings, favor and victory."

"Rather than evaluating My ways with you, accept them thankfully and trust Me for My thoughts are higher than yours and so are My ways.  The intimacy I offer you is not an invitation to act as if you were My equal. Worship Me as Lord of Your Life, your Creator, all powerful God over all things.  Walk hand in hand with Me down the path of Life I have in store for you which includes My plans for your good---to give you a future and a hope."

" Godly Thinking = Godly Words + Actions + Deeds + Living With Greater Godly Purpose "

With the Godly purpose you have for your life, you were meant to rise high and stand with God above the cares of this life. In order to ascend, we allow God to help us have "clean hands and a pure heart."  This doesn't mean we have to clean ourselves up before we can come into a relationship with Him.  It simply means we follow His lead each day, starting with our thinking,  to be more of who He'd have us be.

When we come into a relationship with God, "He makes us clean and new."  As we grow each day in our relationship with Him, His infused strength helps us stand against the enemy, the challenges life brings our way and his attempts to bring us down. It begins in our thought life---"the battlefield of the mind."  Most of is have hear the term "Garbage In=Garbage Out."  So it is with our thoughts.  We guard our thoughts by guarding what we allow to influence our thoughts. We allow God to renew our minds and direct our thinking, placing our thoughts "on a higher plain," because what we allow into our minds affects our hearts---thoughts, words, actions and deeds.

If we are going to rise high above the cares of day to day life, Godly directed thoughts  lead to a higher way of living---a better life---the good life God intends for us. Choose  today to allow God to direct your thoughts so you can ascend in your life and live the life of greater purpose God has for you---receiving His blessings, victory, peace, serenity and favor while walking in the good life of greater purpose He has in store for you.

"…I, God, make all things new."

Oftentimes, people set out to accomplish their dreams, but they face a setback or disappointment, and then they feel like their time has passed. But know today that no matter where you’ve come from, no matter what’s happened in your past, God wants to make you new. He wants to give you a “do over,” a fresh start.

When God puts a dream in your heart, when He puts a promise on the inside, He deposits within you everything you need to accomplish that dream. He wouldn’t give you the desire to do something without giving you the ability to fulfill it. In fact, the scripture tells us that God gives us the desires of our heart. In other words, He puts the desire inside of us and then works with us to bring it to pass.

If you feel like you’ve missed opportunities in your life, if you feel like your time has passed, remember that today is a new day. You are a new person, and God has new opportunities in store for you. If one dream has died, it’s time to dream a new dream. He makes all things new in your life today!

Human Nature. Default Mode or God Mode?

Human nature, I've also heard it called "default mode", can often cause us to fear when it feels like our backs are against the wall, life's overwhelming us with daily challenges, we don't have the answers, and it seems God isn't answering quick enough.  In this age of fast food, smart phones, the Internet, which puts us in touch with information and technology around the world, direct deposit, online bill pay, and access to immediate quick solutions and delivery of services at our fingertips, we are spoiled.  We want what we want, when we want it and we want it right now!

That's not how God works.  He's the same yesterday, today and forever.  Waiting on Him to answer takes faith and patience and with the quick, instant seeming solutions made available to our society, it's easy to  get into that mode and also expect God to deliver, answer, provide solutions and outcomes immediately.  Sometimes He does, but other times He provides the answers we seek, the provision we need, and opens new doors in His time not ours.  He's not like an ATM.  He is God.  He has a great plan for each of our lives.  Nothing that happens in our lives surprises Him, even when we fall short, slip up, make a mistake, or take a wrong turn---or when life throws us a curve ball and hits us blind sided.

On the other side of ever painful situation there is growth.  God is faithful.  We can rest assured He has our best interest at heart.  He's got our backs.  He will always come through in some way.  Fear can be one of the biggest enemies in our lives, if we allow it to be. Today, if your running up against the midnight hour for a need, a prayer to be answered, direction in your life, etc., don't slip into "default mode" and fear God's not going to answer or come through for you.  He hears every prayer you pray and sees every need in your life.  God will be faithful to come through for you.  Keep the faith, trust God, stand firm, and watch what God can do---"exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or think."

He said... She said...

Have you ever been affected by something that was said about you, a misunderstanding, character assassination, the receipt of being treated differently because of something someone said---gossip.  Immediately,  by those whose ears it falls on, it's  believed to be true without anyone coming to you and asking for the truth.  Most of us have experienced something similar in our lives.  Gossip often spreads like wildfire and by the time it gets around, it couldn't be farther from the truth.  It can damage family and friendly relationships, it can cause distance from those you love, it can cause undue hurt and pain.

In the Lord's Prayer one of the excerpts is "forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us."  We are all human, we all make mistakes.  Things from the past can crop up even after our lives are cleaned up and we are walking with God, and cause misunderstandings, even when we've worked diligently to clean up the wreckage of our past.  As God's children aren't we supposed to believe the best in everyone?  Aren't we to forgive as we've been forgiven?  Things are not always as they appear.  For some reason human nature often takes over and the worst case scenario is believed rather than getting to the truth of the situation with those we love and care about.  Everything that we may hear in the course of the day about others is not true.

One of the biggest mistakes in life is placing unrealistic expectations on others.    Everyone is human.  We all make mistakes.  Does that mean we are bad people?  No.  In our relationship with God, thankfully  we live under the covering of His grace.  If God forgives and covers us with His grace shouldn't we bestow that on others?  Today, believe the best in others.  Look for the good in them. Seek the truth.  Show God's love and kindness to others and those you meet.  You never know what battles they may be facing.  Live in the spirit of forgiveness so that you may have complete freedom in your life.  Treat others the way you would like to be treated.  "Now abideth Faith, Hope and Love; but the greatest of these is Love!"

In God's strength you conquer life. Your conquering power is the grace of God. There can be no complete failure with God. Do you want to make the best of life? Then live as near as possible to God, the Master and Giver of all life. Your reward for depending on God's strength will be sure.

"His strength is perfect when our strength is gone.  He'll carry us when we can't carry on."  Sometimes the reward will be renewed power to face life, sometimes wrong thinking overcome, sometimes people brought to a new way of living. Whatever success comes will not be all your own doing, but largely the working out of the grace of God.

Today rely full on God's strength and grace and in doing so live the victorious life He desires for you to live.

He Makes All Things Beautiful In His Time - My Story Through Another's Eyes

As I read and re-read this story this morning, I felt I was reading my own.   Have you ever had this happen?  Maybe you can relate.  I have much to be grateful for today.  Is everything in life perfect?  No.  I do know that God is at work.  He works each day to perfect us (me) a little more and "He makes all things beautiful in His time!"

"My 'ultimate sin' dragged me down to the lowest level I have ever reached and, unable even to function, I accepted the fact that I desperately needed help. I stopped fighting and surrendered entirely to God by uttering two simple words "God Help".

"Only then did I start growing!  God by His grace forgave me and helped me.  He had to have saved my life because many of the doctors doubted I would survive and even told me so.  Thank God for a new day, a fresh start, and a relationship like I've never had with Him before.  I have forgiven myself now  and I enjoy a freedom I've never experienced before.  I've opened my heart and mind to Him.  I learn little more each day as I remain teachable.  The less I realize I know and am in control of things, the more humility it brings."

"I enjoy God's peace and serenity, but only when I entrust my life totally to Him do I maintain it.  As long as I am honest with myself and ask for His help, I can maintain this rewarding existence, have a life worth living, and continue to experience His journey to the greater things He had in store for my life.  Today I will continue to strive to live His will for me and in doing so reap all the blessings and benefits He has for me."  (Anonymous)

If God Says "No", He Simply Has Something Better In Store

Ever felt you had a prayer that wasn't being answered?  Ever had a prayer answered but in a completely different manner than you expected ultimately seeing God answer in ways you never imagined or thought possible?  We may be asking for something we truly believe is right, but God knows that granting such a request would be the worst thing He could ever give us.

We have the ability, in all innocence, to ask for something that is potentially dangerous or bad for us without even realizing it. In that case, we need to be glad God does not give it to us! In such cases, little do we know that God’s saying “yes” to that request would not be for our best. We have to trust Him enough to say, “God, I have the confidence to ask You for anything. But I don’t want anything that is not Your will for me. And I trust You, God. If I don’t get it, I will know that the timing is not right or that You have something better for me.  Don’t ever let yourself get a bad attitude because God does not give you everything you want.

God wants us to be blessed.  He desires for us to live happy, joyous and free, lacking nothing.  He wants us to have not only what we want, but what is best.  If we truly trust God, we must trust Him when he says "no" to our request as much as we do when He says "yes".  In the end we can rest assured that He hears and answers and a simple "no", a closing of one door and and opening of another, a prayer answered in a different manner simply means He has something far better in store!

Today, trust God to answer your prayers and provide what's best for you!

What do you let your mind do when you have problems? Do you try to figure things out instead of leaving them in God's capable hands?

If you operate in the mind of God's Spirit, allowing Him to renew your mind and direct your thinking each day, you can have the Peace of God which passes all understanding and joy---right in the middle of trials and tribulations.  When you have these types of peace and joy within, you are happy without any particular reason to be.  You are happy because you know God is able to direct and make your paths straight and provide for your needs in an 'exceedingly and abundantly above all you could ask or think' way.

You don't have to worry about tomorrow or yesterday.  You do not have to have all the answers or know how to do everything. All you need to do is know the One who knows.  Trying to figure everything out will wear you out; but, if you trust  God for the answers, you can enter into His rest!

"Lean on, trust in and be confident in The Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.  In all your ways, know, recognize and acknowledge Him and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths."

Draw Near To God & He Will Draw Near To You

I've read that " we are as close to God at any moment as we choose to be." Choose.  Hmmm.  What about the times when we don't "feel" God near.  Does that mean that He's not there?    Has he moved away?  Not in the least bit.  As we all know we can't always go by how we feel.  If we take a moment and look at our lives, our situations, circumstances, etc., is there something blocking us from the Sonlight of His Spirit?  Could it be that He hasn't answered a prayer on our own timeline, or exactly as we think He should and therefore we think He's not there or He's mad at us?  If we flip the situation around, could it be that we are mad at God because He hasn't already answered or provided to our liking?

One thing I've learned over the years is that I can't always go by how I feel.  Secondly, God has his own way of answering when we call on Him.  It may be exactly what we pray for or He may provide in ways we never dreamed; but, one thing is for certain, He hears and answers our prayers. He will provide and answer for what's best in our lives.

Gods has a plan.  He sees each and every heartache, pain, tear, need and also every joy and reason for celebration.  God wants what's best for each of us and yes, He will provide, He will answer and He is near.

Today, if your feeling distant from God, don't be discouraged.  God's not gone anywhere.  Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you.  Make you petitions, your  needs, the desires of your heart know to Him, boldly.  He wants you to.  You too will find that He always answers.  It may not be exactly how we think He should.  It may not be when we think He should and He may say no and lead us in a completely different direction.  At any rate, He may not be early; but, you can rest assured He'll never be late.  Cast your cares on Him today.  He cares for you and He will always provide what's BEST for your life, and in doing so, take you to places of greater purpose, victory, favor  and blessings in your life!

God Sees, Cares and Knows What He's Doing

"God can take every challenge that comes into our lives and use it as an opportunity for  growth.  Trials shape our character and help build our faith."

God knows everything about your life and that can either be very disturbing or very comforting. It depends on your relationship to Him, whether you're trying to fool Him or not.

The fact that God knows everything about our lives is a tremendous motivator to live a Godly life.  Nothing in our lives is in secret. Nothing we face will hinder God's ability to help us. Nothing that is to come will catch Him by surprise. Nothing we fear will be too big for God's strength.   And nothing we do in God's name is ever done in vain.

"I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out - plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for." ---God

TIRED, WORN OUT, BURNED OUT? Be Still & Know That He Is God.

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out…? Come to me (God).  Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of My Grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

"Let the dew of My (God's) Presence refresh your mind and heart. So many, many things vie for your attention in this complex world of instant communication. The world has changed enormously since I first gave the command to be still and know that I am God.However, this timeless truth is essential for the well-being of your soul. As dew refreshes grass and flowers during the stillness of the night, so My Presence revitalizes you as you sit quietly with Me."

"A refreshed, revitalized mind is able to sort out what is important and what is not. In its natural condition, your mind easily gets stuck on trivial matters. Like the spinning wheels of a car trapped in mud, the cogs of your brain spin impotently when you focus on a trivial things.  As soon as you start communicating with Me about the matter, your thoughts gain traction and you can move on to more important things. Communicate with Me continually, and I will put My thoughts into your mind."

"Be still and know that I am God."  "God is not the author of confusion; but, of Peace…"

"The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.”

"Hold your peace!"  A command like that indicates that something is trying to take your peace away: thoughts of worry, fear or anxiety. You might think, 'What if it doesn’t happen? What am I going to do?' If you will just stay in peace, the Creator of the universe, the Most High God, will go to work on your behalf.

"Remember, nothing can stand against our God. He has all power.  Whatever you face in life, God promises He will fight your battles. Trust Him, remain at rest and hold your peace!"

"Father God, today I put my trust and hope in You. I choose to hold my peace knowing that You will fight my battles. Thank You for working all things out for my good…"

God Listens, Cares & Holds Your Hand

Anyone can deal with the cares of just one day, with God's help. It is only when we add the burden of yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down. It is not the experience of today that gets us. It is the remorse or bitterness from something that happened yesterday or the dread of what tomorrow may bring.

God is so responsive that you can always reach Him. He bends down and listens to your voice. Our love for and confidence in Him grow as we experience answers to our prayers. If you are discouraged, remember that God is near, listening carefully to every prayer and answering each prayer in order to give you His best.

Give God the gift of a thankful heart. When life seems hard, look for some reasons for thankfulness. Seek diligently for something to be glad and thankful about and in doing so you will acquire a constant state of gratefulness for all God's blessings.
