Understanding the difference between healthy striving to be your best each day and perfectionism is critical to laying down the shield and picking up the life God has in store for you. He doesn't expect perfection, only your best at where you are in life and how you are handling the many things that you may be facing! Where the spirit of God is there is freedom!

There is good in the world and encounters not by chance but made possible by God to better ourselves, our future, and our greater purpose. The writing on the wall isn't always as it appears or negative. It's all in how it's interpreted. Lay your will before God each day as an offering, ready for God to do what is best for you. Be sure that, if you trust God, what He does for you will be for the best. Be confident that God is powerful enough to do anything, and that no miracle in human lives is impossible with Him.

God not only wants to give you peace, He wants to give you great peace! Great peace gives you joy when it doesn’t make sense for you to be happy. It’s peace that passes understanding. Great peace keeps you stable and strong no matter what may come against you. Today let God's peace that passeth all understanding sustain you no matter what life brings your way!

Sometimes what looks like a disaster in your life is part of a much bigger plan. But you will never fulfill your destiny having a pity party. Unpleasant obstacles in your life are often God-ordained opportunities to make a difference.
You might be in a situation right now where everything seems to be going wrong and you can't figure it out. But God knows. Nothing in your life is accidental. The pleasures and pains, the opportunities and obstacles, God can use it all. There is nothing God cannot use for good in your life if you'll hand it over to Him and then trust Him!

Start every morning fresh and new. Forgive where there needs to be forgiveness. Accept God's grace where you've fallen short. Give God the things you don't understand. God did not create us to carry around baggage. Let it go and move forward in the life of blessing He has in store for you!
Today I will accept that God has made me worthy today and trust that He has good things in store for me and my life! The best days are ahead!

"Nothing that has happened to you is a surprise to God. The loss of that loved one didn’t catch God off guard. The business that didn’t make it, the relationship that didn’t work out did not stop God’s plan for your life. Now, the real question is: are you going to get stuck, fall into self-pity, become bitter, let the past poison your future? Or, are you going to shake it off and move forward knowing that your best days are still up ahead?"
"Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?"
You may have faced disappointments in life; but, that doesn't mean that God doesn't have better days ahead for your life and a greater purpose with good things in store up ahead. It doesn't mean God is finished with you yet! Keep the faith and in due time see His blessings, provision and His grace and mercy unfold in your life revealing your best days are still ahead!

As long as you’re living in regret, focused on the negative things of the past, it’s going to keep you from the bright future God has in store. You’ve got to let go of what didn’t work out. Let go of the hurts and pain. Let go of your disappointments and failures. You can’t do anything about the past, but you can do something about right now. Whether it happened 20 years ago or 20 minutes ago, let it go and move forward.
If you keep bringing negative baggage from yesterday into today, it will poison your future. You may have had an unfair past, but you don’t have to have an unfair future. You may have gotten off to a rough start in life, but it’s not how you start that matters. It’s how you finish.
My continual Presence is a promise, guaranteeing that you never have to face anything alone. I look for persistence—rather than perfection—in your walk with Me.

How do you feel about perfectionism? I once was really hard on myself when something in which I was involved didn't go perfect. The "if onlys"would set in and before I knew it, I'd find myself my own worst critic, beating myself up for days upon end in self-pity and hosting a huge pity party.
Thank God He's freed me from that. He's helped me to learn and grow from imperfections, capitalizing on the issue at hand. It's only through our imperfections that we realize a need for Him, that we grow and become better.
Today, love yourself through the imperfections in your life and let God use them to mold and make you into all He'd have you to be!

We often discover that our course in life has changed direction. Not to worry. When we put our lives in God's hands, our every concern and detail is being taken care of, in the right way, at the right time. Life is a process. Accept the variations with gratitude. Each can be a blessing in disguise. God is often at work the most and closer in our lives when we see or feel Him the least. Yes, working behind the scenes to bring about answers, provisions and meet our needs in ways we could have never pinned on paper. Had God answered our prayers in the ways we thought best, we would have definitely sold ourselves short!

"Let your conscience be your guide." Better yet, "Let your ' God-conscious ' be your guide! There is a big difference. When we let God guide from deep within, instead of self, we can't go wrong. When we allow self to guide, overriding our God conscious, with no consideration to what God is trying to tell us and where He is trying to lead us, we can get ourselves off course from God's best and things can become a real mess.
God always wants to lead us by His Spirit through life, but sometimes we get so focused on seemingly "big" issues that we don't realize how much He speaks in small promptings every day. Each of us has that little voice inside, relentless as a chirping cricket, telling us what to do. Even in the middle of our toughest decisions, we always have within us the solution that is right for us. All we have to do is listen and trust where God is leading and that He will be faithful to see us through.
Today, keep your heart sensitive to God's voice. Follow the little promptings. He will speak to your heart and lead you in the way you should go. When you do you won't go wrong!

"Courage is not the absence of fear; it is the ability to move ahead in spite of fear. It's telling fear to get out of the way you and God have things to do."
"Frozen in fear." We've all heard that expression and many have felt it. Some days we may wake to overwhelming feelings that things look bleak or things facing us that seem impossible. We may see loss and danger around us, and we may fear for the future. That is when our character is most tested. That is when we are called to continue to put one foot confidentially in front of the other, with God's help and faith, trusting without a shadow of a doubt that He's got us and will lead us in the right direction and to better days ahead if we will merely keep pressing forward in the right direction where He leads. He is with us to give us strength, to be a strong arm and see us trough no matter what the day may hold. There is no need to feel the need solve all our problems right away or to change the world immediately.
Courage, with God's backing, is a feeling of confidence that we can triumph over all odds. It’s knowing that, with God's help and direction, we can move ahead one step at a time in the right direction. It's taking positive action in the face of our fears. Sometimes "it's often darkest before the dawn." With God's help, keep pressing forward. You will see the sun shine again and better days ahead, coming out of your situation stronger, more refined and better than ever before!
Today, as you put one foot in front of the other, Hope in Him, the one Who you know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is where your divine help comes from, the one Who's got your back, the one Who will ALWAYS faithfully see you through!

Everyday of our lives we think of some situation we wish we had handled differently. Perhaps we left a job we now miss, disciplined a child needlessly, or responded rudely to a friend or loved one. The past is gone. We can't take back the job, the punishment or the rude responses. We can accept God's forgiveness and work to right our mistakes.
Let's not waste this gift of today by hanging on to what can't be changed. We all know what we don't like about our behavior in the past. That's all we need to remember when we decide how to behave in the present. We won't be ashamed in the future, if we take charge of our present.
Today is a new beginning. By God's grace and forgiveness whatever happened in our past need not control what we do with today. Today is ours to be proud of by learning from past mistakes, changing what we can and giving to God what we can't.

We are encouraged to always be thankful. It's easy to be filled with gratitude when God answers prayer and delivers us from problems. But it isn't always easy when things go wrong.
So how can we remain thankful in the midst of suffering? Praise God in spite of what's going on in our lives. In the midst of our troubles and hardships, we can rejoice over the things that are not wrong in our lives.
Sometimes we can only grasp the important lessons in our lives when we go through difficult times. We can choose to look at what's going right instead of what seems to be going wrong. Thank God that the hard times will lead you to better things. In the midst of suffering, give thanks to God and trust Him to lead you to bigger and better things. Thank God "this too soon shall pass."

When you start to feel anxious about something, relinquish the situation to God. Back off a bit, redirecting your focus to Him. He will either take care of the problem or show you how to handle it. In this world you will have problems, but never lose sight and connection with God who is bigger than any problem you may face! “… in Me you can have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

The next time you start to wonder if you have what it takes, stir up your faith. Focus on His truth which says you are well able to do what He has called you to do. You can accomplish your goals. You have the ideas, creativity, and talent to be successful. You can overcome every obstacle! You’ve been armed with strength for every life challenge. The forces that are with you are greater than the forces that are against you, and with God's help and Him by your side, you are thoroughly equipped to overcome and move forward in the greater purpose He has for your life.

Often we get so caught up in the busy-ness of day to day life or the cares of the day that we often forget how fragile and frail life really is. In a second things can completely change. Often we feel indispensable especially the younger we are. Often it's the tragic loss of a friend or loved one that seems way to soon which shakes us to this reality; but, seems that the impact overtime wears off and we continue with indispensable mentalities, even if subconsciously.
Recently a dating couple was traveling. While on their trip an argument ensued over something trivial and in the heat of the moment, emotions glaring, they abruptly ended their conversation with not so kind word, ended their relationship and the guy left his girlfriend and returned home. A few days later he was killed in a parasailing accident.
Their last words unkind to each other in the heat of be moment. The girlfriend was in shock, devastated and emotionally overwhelmed. If only the last words they had would have been kind. If only there had not been over reaction to some minor things in their relationship, would things have turned out differently and would her boyfriend still be alive? If only their last words would have at least been kind even though they had decided to go their separate ways. In any regard, he is gone and she is left holding onto their last conversation---a heated argument and breakup over something petty. If only…
Maybe you've experienced something similar. We never know when our life or the life of a loved one or friend will end. How much different would our world be if we all lived each day to the fullest as if it were our last. If we treated others with Godly love and kindness in our encounters and time spent with family and friends---with no regrets.
Today, may we realize the frailty of life, build bridges instead of burning them, and love as God has loved us leaving nothing undone or unsaid such that if tragedy were to strike close to home there would be no regrets of how we lived our lives or loved and embraced family and friends. With God's help may we be kind to others daily realizing that it may be the only or the last opportunity we have, and live each day we're gifted with gratitude to the fullest!
