A Whole Different Kind of Life!

" Once you have spent the time God has given you, it is impossible to get it back and do things another way.  Life is precious. Don't take it for granted and remember, the thoughts you think and the words you say are prophesying your future. "

I'm sure many of us can look back at times in our lives and see things we would have done differently as we've continued to grow and mature in our relationship with God.  We don't get do-overs in life; but, with each new day we're gifted, we have an opportunity to do things better as we live under God's grace and work to be who He'd have us be.  Understanding comes after the experience.

We learn to see God in everyday life.  As we see the beauty of his creation, as we hear Him speak to us through others, as we see His miraculous supernatural favor work in our lives, we begin to really see Him, feel His presence and sense His divine protection, care and guidance.  " Once we're secure inside God's unconditional love, we'll start cutting people a lot of slack. We won't be as angry as we've been. We'll be more patient. We'll be more forgiving. We'll be more merciful. We'll give others grace just as we've been given. "

" A big view of God is a cure for so many of the things in life that would stand in our way or slow us down.  When we really grasp the heights of who He is, and the depths of His heart for us, and the strength of His power in us, we can live a whole different kind of life. "  Thanks God!

Knowing God or just talking about it.

" You say you know Me; but, how can those around you tell?  Is it evident by the life you live, the words you utter, the way you carry yourself in everyday life?  When you enter into a relationship with Me, change begins to occur for the better from the inside out.  The void you once felt is gone.  The old has passed and all has become new.  That includes My renewing of your mind, the actions and deeds your involved in and the words uttered in daily life in front of and to those around you. "

" How can anyone see Me in you if nothing changes?  It is impossible to have a full fruitful relationship with me and live with old behaviors and the old life you had before you came to know Me.  If the old you is dead and gone, you've surrendered your will and life to me and you are living a life pleasing to Me, people will see it in you.  The sparkle in your eyes that comes from my spirit within, the joy, enthusiasm and zest for the new life you've been given.  The self-less and random acts of kindness you do when no one is looking.  People may not be able to put their finger on it; but, they will be able to tell there's definitely something different about you! "

" Today, remember if you are in a relationship with Me you represent Me.  Today let others see the wonder working power I can do by the changes in your life and the way you live it.  Let others see Me in you by remembering your actions and words speak, confirming if you really know me or if you just talk about knowing me.  'What will it profit you if you gain the whole world; but lose your own soul?'  Who really wants to hear the words 'depart from Me---I never knew you?' "

Tough choices.

As God's children we are often faced with tough choices.  Just because we are working to live the  best life we feel God would have us, doesn't mean that we are doormats and have to accept everything that comes our way or faces us as OK, never taking a stand when something isn't right in our job, home, family, or in our relationships. Improprieties can face us when we least expect it and it may not always be easy to stand up to our superiors, friends or loved ones or in tough situations and say this is not OK!  It may not be easy; but, it's possible.

" Losing a job, money, a relationship or investments is never as great a loss as that of losing the presence of God. 'Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world; but, let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.'

Life is full of tough decisions in which you must choose between God's will and apparent wealth, fame, popularity, etc.  In actuality, 'God can give you much more than anything you sacrifice for Him.' Never value any worldly thing more than you value being in the peace and rest of God. Choose God's way, for 'if God is for you, who can be against you?' "

Today, as you face decisions, tough choices or stand at a crossroad of life, lean on God to make the right choice and take the right turn.  The higher or harder road---the next right thing, may not be the easiest route; but, in the end, it will be for the best.  Remember today, "God is the rewarder of those who DILIGENTLY seek Him." Do your best, make the right choice and let God handle the rest---taking you to better places and better things that He has in store for you.

You talk about God too much.

"Then let us no more criticize and blame and pass judgment on one another, but rather decide and endeavor never to put a stumbling block or an obstacle or a hindrance in the way of a brother. "

Ever heard someone say "all they do is talk about God?"  I have and I've been criticized and judged, maybe even at times by certain people shunned because of it.  Does it bother me?  No.  If God has done for you what He's done for me in my life, your happy to talk about Him too.  If that is the worst criticism I get, I'm doing pretty good.

"You're Only Accountable to God. Too many people never get around to fulfilling God's purpose for their life because they're so busy keeping everyone else happy. The world is filled with people who think they know what you should be doing with your life. "

What if God were ashamed of you?  He's not, not matter what, it's called grace!  Today, be free to be who God would have you be and don't be ashamed to talk about Him; but, be grateful for your relationship with Him and what He's done in your life.  There will always be ney-sayers.  Today, remember, "where the spirit of The Lord is...there is freedom" and that includes freedom from the opinion of others and what they think.  Thanks God!

How can I bring God in?

"May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing with hope."

There is freedom in forgiveness---it's not a feeling, it's an action.  Often not so much for the offender as the offended, bound up in unforgiveness.  There is freedom in accepting that life is full of constant change.  Embracing change instead of resisting it makes life much easier.  There is freedom in letting people be where they are and who they are.  After all, only God has the power to change them.

"Being willing to change is often easier than doing it. One of the biggest changes most of us need to make is learning to let others be who they are, regardless of who we want them to be. Most of us think our lives would be far smoother and more productive if only other people lived up to our standards. How wrong we are!  If we could change others as we wish, we would live far less enlightened lives. In fact, we discover opportunities for personal and spiritual growth in our interactions with the men and women who frustrate us so. The irony is that we wish they'd change; but, if they did, we wouldn't experience the growth we deserve and that God is trying to bring about in our lives."

"I will enhance my growth today by letting others be who they are and working on me, walking humbly with God.  Walking with God means practicing the presence of God in your daily affairs. It means asking God for strength to face each new day. It means turning to Him often during the day in prayer for yourself and for other people. It means thanking Him in the morning for another day and at night for the blessings you have received during the day. He is beside you in spirit, to help you and to guide you on your way."  Today, allow for every opportunity to bring God into situations you face and encounter.  After all, nothing can seriously upset you if you are walking with God---unless you allow it too!

You are precious to Me.

My time with you is precious.  When you wake in the morning and realize I've given you another day to live I desire you to live that day with happiness, joy and freedom, anticipating what I am going to do in your life today.  I am going to lay opportunities before you to fulfill greater purpose; but, the busy-ness of the world, getting to work or on about your daily actives often overshadows you even thanking me for another day of life, much less being aware and sensitive to these opportunities.

My desire is to have an intimate working ongoing relationship with you.  It puts a smile on my face when you take time to seek me and my guidance as you begin your day.  When you say thank you for another day Lord.  When you connect with me and allow me to freshly fill the core of your spirit with mine.  When you ask me to take you, guide you and show you.  When this happens, you will find no need to seek other things to fill the void that only I can fill.

Let me help you.  Let me be there for you.  Let me provide for your needs and give you guidance in your everyday life and as you make decisions.  Let me be the foundation of your life so that you can fully be your best at all you do and so that you can be the person I would have you be.  When you feel the brisk wind blow across your face, let it be a reminder that my spirit is ever present with you.  When you see the beauty of the sunrise remember I created that and I can take care of you and every concern and need in your life.

Today and everyday, take me with you wherever you go.  Don't leave me at home and go it alone as you walk out the door to go about your day.  I desire to walk each step with you, hand in hand, and help make your day flow seamlessly, watching over your every move, twist and turn the day brings, watching over you with my protection and care.  Today, don't forget me until you need me, stay in my presence continuously, pray without ceasing and as we walk together hand in hand throughout this day, "I will lead you beside the still waters and give you peace."  I will give you a sense of safety and protection.  I will make everything you put your hand to succeed; but, I can't do these things if your too busy to seek me and attempting to do it yourself and not being sensitive to my lead.  I can't do it if you've left me at home.  At the core of who you are, I can make you good, filling you afresh and anew with my spirit and with my help, together we can handle anything this day brings.  Seek me, walk with me, be aware of me for today and everyday I'm as close to you as you allow and choose for me to be!

Can you imagine it? Can you perceive it?

We serve a God who created the universe and created you and me. If He can perform those wonders and shape life with greater purpose, He can take care of you and me and bring our dreams to pass.

God has given each of us dreams deep down within; but, how can we ever expect those dreams to come to pass if we can't even perceive that God can bring them to pass.  He can create the universe, bring life into this world, yet He can't take care of you and me in day to day life?  That type of thinking can keep you from God's best.  When you expand your perception of God and what He can do in your life, your setting yourself up for success.  You're opening yourself up to see those dreams come true in your life.

" Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass. " " You have not, because you ask not. "

You don't have to be worried, frustrated or wonder if it's ever gonna come to pass.  "Enter into the rest of God, a place of total trust, a place beyond a shadow of a doubt God is going to see you through.  A place of faith (with an enlarged vision and perception of God) knowing He is in control and at the exact and right time, He will bring your dreams to pass!"  He will take care of your every need.  Today take the limits off God and your perception of what He can do.  Today, ask, perceive, believe and receive!

I, God, am for you!

My face is shining down on you.  You have taken steps of faith.  You have remained sensitive to My voice, My lead, to your God conscious.  No, everything hasn't lined up or worked out exactly the way you thought it would; but, in the midst of the trying of your faith, you have seen My hand be faithful in your life---to provide, care for and remain close.

Do not be discouraged because things may not have worked out so far the way you thought.  Trust me and trust My timing---My process.   Have I ever let you down or failed you?  No.  I have answered prayers in ways different than you thought and you can confirm, in ways better than you dreamed or thought possible.  Continue to be faithful in seeking My face and in letting your faith be stretched.  Be encouraged when doors close, or if something doesn't go exactly as planned for it means that I have better things in store.  Live each day in anticipation of these things and what I am going to do in your life.

Keep trusting me.  I will give you favor, put the right people in your life at the right time and open doors that no man can close---at the right time and right place.  You know my plans for you are good and have continued to believe this for you've seen it in your own life. When others would have given up or may have mocked your faith, you have continued to wait with excitement in anticipation of what I have in store and for the next chapter of your life to unfold in the days ahead.    You have been and continue to be still and know I am God. Days of promotion, victory and blessings are in store just ahead and in My time, in the blink of an eye, suddenly the good things I have for the days ahead are going to come bursting through and line up to take you to the next level of promotion I have in store for your life, My faithful child who I love dearly.

Continue to give me your circumstances and cares and I will give you peace, the answers, outcomes and direction you seek.  Good days are ahead.  Keep walking with purpose and don't give up for with Me your future is bright---I hold it along with you in the palm of My hand. Yesterday is gone, your shortcomings of the past have been covered by My grace and My good plans for you are beginning to unfold.  Stay in tune with Me,  walking hand in hand, so that I can lead you into the good plans I have for your life.  Not by might, not by power; but, by My Spirit says I The Lord your God!  Today, remember, I am for you!

Always

Al•ways:  invariably; at any rate; every time; on every occasion; without exception; continuously; all the time; forever.

"My love will never quit, never give up, and never leave you. Whenever you feel down or depressed, remember the great love that I, your Creator, have for you---My child."  My love for you is far greater than your human mind can comprehend.  You may think at times I'm not near; but I've never left and will never leave your side.  Often the times of quiet is when you think I'm working the least; however, it's when I'm working the most.

Take heart My child knowing that whatever the day may bring or whatever you face I am with you.  Listen closely to my still small voice inside to guide you.  Don't let the busy-ness of day to day life take priority over your relationship with me.  If you can't hear my still small voice, shut the world (with it's worries and cares) out and take time to be still and know that I am God.

I will lead, guide and direct you to better things, better decisions, better days and victory when you stay surrendered to My will.  Don't let your self-will take precedence over My-will.  My-will for you is good, with good plans for you and your life.  In order to find these things and walk in the abundance, victory and blessings I desire, you must continue to seek Me and always follow my lead.  If the alarms are glaring inside regarding the decision you are about to make, don't do it.  It's not My best for you.  Pause and ask for My guidance.  I will not lead you astray.

"As you wind your way through this day, hold My hand in joyful trust, for I will never leave your side. The Light of My Presence is shining upon you."  Today, remember "My plans for you are good...." and "I will never leave or forsake you.  I will be with you to the end..."  ALWAYS!

More than just going through the motions.

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Is your relationship with God more than a mere going through the motions?  Do you put God first in your every day life, having a living breathing working relationship with Him or do you just use Him for distress calls?

I was raised in a very conservative religious upbringing.  When I was a child I was taken to church every time the door opened.  While today, going to church and worshipping my Creator there does enhance my relationship with  God, it doesn't end there.  It continues in everyday life.  A church is just a building and while yes God can be found there; He can also be left there.  Many attend faithfully; but their lives never change, nor does their relationship with God. That is the extent of their walk with God---attending a church service here and there and a going through the motions.  They talk about God; but they are not taking God with them into their homes, work place, relationships and everyday life. They go through the motions on Sunday or whatever day it may be and it ends there---there's no real relationship with Him.

One thing I've learned over the course of my journey in my relationship with my Creator is that He desires a living, breathing, working, real relationship with us---everyday.  He wants to be 1st not last or just used or called on when it's convenient or when there is a crisis.

So what about you?  Are you going through the motions or are you experiencing all the benefits that an ongoing, living, breathing, daily relationship with God brings?  Today, as your place your relationship with God first, may you find Him real as He shows Himself strong in your life, providing divine direction, doing for you what you can't do for yourself and taking you to places you never dreamed!

Encouragement. Everybody needs a little sometime. Your encouraging words or kind gestures today may mean more than you think.

When is the last time you took time out of your day to encourage or do something kind for a friend, neighbor, family member or even a stranger?   I read a story about a teenager in high school.  He was very intelligent; but, not very popular in school.   Often suffering the brunt of ridicule & being made fun of coupled with an unstable home life,  the teen battled circumstantial depression.

One day walking home from school the teen had a ton of books he was carrying and he dropped them, papers flying everywhere.  Surprisingly to the teen, one of the most popular football players stopped and helped the teen pick everything up and, spoke some words of encouragement and they went on their way.

The teen later became valedictorian of his high school class.  In the middle of his speech the day of graduation, he thanked the guy who had stopped to help him that day.  The teen explained that he had been saving his mothers prescription tranquilizers and had planned that afternoon to end his life.  The guys words of kindness and his kind gesture that one day made an incredible impact on the teen and in his acceptance speech he stated "I wanted to thank you .... when you stopped to help me pick up my books and encouraged me, you actually saved my life."

Today, seize opportunities that God presents to encourage or do something kind for someone selflessly.  You never know when God may have placed you there for greater purpose and to fulfill a grander plan and you never know the impact you may have on one's life by a simple act of kindness.

"Patience is a virtue." Isn't it ever! Life challenge or opportunity for growth?

I think in the back of my mind when I began a new found relationship with God a few years ago (one like I'd never experienced before) that somehow after going through a major life challenge or two and continuing to grow closer to God in the process, that at some point I would reach a place where everything leveled off.  "I've got patience now, so no more challenges God." I remember one year at times thinking "God can I just catch a break here and have a minute to breathe" after multiple life challenges hit back to back.   I think somehow I thought that at some point I would arrive and it would just be smooth sailing!  Ha!  Yeah that's not been my experience.  Just because we get into a relationship with God and surrender our will and lives to Him doesn't mean that the tough times stop coming.  What it does mean is that as we develop and mature in our walk with Him and we gain the strength to walk through those times.   God can use those times to do a work in us.  Yes our faith maybe tried; but, continues to grow through each twist and turn life brings.  With me it seems to be either very smooth sailing or times of back to back challenges.  No happy median or in between.  I will say I've matured spiritually and as a person through each challenge and learned that God always see's me through to victory! I continue to be amazed at how He does and His faithfulness.

So I said all that to say---life may never stop bringing challenges our way; but, we become equipped to handle it with patience, grace and dignity, knowing that its in walking through the tough times we become mature spiritually, closer and more dependent on God and more of who He'd have us be in everyday life.  Just because things are the way they are today doesn't mean they will remain that way forever.  If your going through a tough time, let God work in your life, let your faith soar, and let the experience not be wasted---for nothing is wasted in God's economy.  Let God trough the experience complete a work in you.  You know He's gonna see you trough!  So in reality is it a life challenge or an opportunity for growth?

"God can see you through any challenge. Today, choose to let God work through you, even in the face of opposition. As your patience grows and develops, you will step into a life of great victory."

It's easy to have gratitude when things are going well; but, what about when there not?

" A heart overflowing with gratitude and thanks results in praise. When we pray and experience God moving and answered prayer, our natural response is praise and gratitude...Yet, even in difficult times, gratitude has purpose. C.S. Lewis said, 'We ought to give thanks for all fortune: if it is 'good,' because is it good, if 'bad' because it works in us patience, humility, and ... hope.'

The expression of gratitude and thanks to God magnifies His majesty and power. As we bring our attention to His sovereignty, while still remembering what He has done for us, our faith is stirred up and our hope for what is to come is increased. "

It's easy to be grateful when good things are happening in our lives; but, what about when the challenging times come---can you maintain an attitude of gratitude or do you mumble and complain?   It's hard to grumble when I'm grateful!  Today, be grateful no matter what and find God, in His perfect timing, doing "exceedingly and abundantly above all you could ask or think."

We are as close to God, at any given moment, as we choose to be.

"I am nearer than you think, richly present in all your moments. You are connected to Me by Love-bonds that nothing can sever. However, you may sometimes feel alone, because your union with Me is invisible. Ask Me to open your eyes, so that you can find Me everywhere. The more aware you are of My Presence, the safer you feel. This is not some sort of escape from reality; it is tuning in to ultimate reality. I am far more Real than the world you can see, hear, and touch. Faith is the confirmation of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality, perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses."

“God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though He is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being. We are His offspring."

"Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. "

God, whatever comes my way, I will trust you!

" Many are the sorrows of the wicked; but, he who trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on the Lord shall be compassed about with mercy and with loving-kindness. "

CON • FI • DENT:  Feeling or showing certainty about something...sure - certain - assured - secure - positive - safe.

Do you confidently lean on God?  I've had several conversations with fiends and family lately about walking through those dark, trying, lean times in which your faith is stretched.  Your waiting on answers; but, there seems to be no movement.  It's in those times when our faith is stretched that we must keep pressing forward, being who God would have us and keep trusting, believing and seeking---confidently leaning on Him for the right direction, answers and outcomes.  In these conversations many reflect on the times God has seen them through to help build and hold onto their faith, confidently knowing He's done it before and He'll do it again.  With laughter, all were in agreement that we don't know why we doubt other than its human nature (and the enemy working against us) for doubt to creep in and fear that God's not gonna provide; but, we all agreed that when we look back, the results show He's always been faithful, provided, made a way and helped us through.

" In our human nature, we want our actions to follow a genuine heart to change; but, we will fail. It is crucial for us to continually turn back to God, remember all that He has done for us, and hold onto the anchor of His hope. "

I'm grateful to say that God still answers prayer, provides and comes through for His own.  I continue to be amazed at how He does it for often it's in a way we least expect.  Today, if your not CONFIDENTLY leaning on God and seeking His will and His best for your life, I challenge you to try it.  It doesn't mean hard times won't come; but, it does mean that He will come through for you.  It may not be the way you thought; but, believe me you won't be disappointed.  I would have sold myself short so many times if God had delivered the way I thought He should versus the way He did.  On the other side of walking through these times, I've realized He gave and continues to give me so much more!  How could I ask for more?  Thanks God!

Do you trust God? He's not brought you and I this far to drop us!

" If you find your journey has led you to what seems like a cliff in life and your only option to keep moving forward is jump---God will either catch you or teach you how to fly. "

" You are climbing up the ladder of life, which reaches into eternity. Would God plant your feet upon an insecure ladder? Its supports may be out of sight, hidden in secret places, but if God has asked you to step on and up firmly, then surely He has secured your ladder. Faith gives you the strength to climb steadily this ladder of life. You should leave your security to God and trust Him not to let you fall. He is there to give you all the power you need to keep on climbing. "

Now I'm not telling anyone to go jump off a cliff or climb a shaky ladder to see if God will catch them if they fall.  God gives us common sense; but, sometimes in life along our journey it can seem that way.  We reach a crossroads or what seems to be the edge of a cliff and often have to take a leap of faith to make the right turn, leaning on God to provide direction of which way to go, knowing He is with us each step of the way.  This reminds me of my children when they were small and first started learning to swim.   They would stand pool side and jump believing, trusting and knowing that their Father, with outstretched arms, was there to catch them.  The same is true with God our Father.

Today, you may be at a crossroads in life.  You may have big decisions facing you or uncertainty about the future.  You may be waiting on God for the right doors to open for you and it seems to be taking forever.  Keep the faith and take courage for " I (we) know who holds the future and I (we) know who holds my (our) hand. " God's not brought you or I this far to drop us!  Trust God, His process and timing.  His grace is sufficient and He WILL be FAITHFUL to see us through, just as He's been faithful to do in the past!

The One who created you, will not forsake you.

" Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. "

" Try to look for God's leading in all your personal relationships, in all your dealings with other persons and every area of your life.  God will help you ... if you are willing to let Him guide you. Rejoice that God can protect you and keep you from temptation and failure. God can protect you in all situations ... if you will rely on His strength and go forward. You should feel that you are entering upon the stage of success in the proper way of living. You should not doubt that better things are ahead for you!  Go forward unafraid because you feel deeply safe under God's protection. "

Today, may following God's lead in every area of your life take you to greater places of greater purpose. May you find favor, the right doors opening, and God working things out on your behalf.  As you put total reliance on Him for strength, direction and care, may you find a deeper sense of joy, peace, serenity and a feeling of safety and protection by God, your Creator---the one who gave you, and has good plans for, your life!

What are you believing for?

"Without a vision, people perish."

" Some people are afraid to believe. They think they may be setting themselves up for disappointment. They have not realized they will be perpetually disappointed if they don't believe. I feel that if I believe for a lot and even get half of it, I am better off than I would be to believe for nothing and get all of it. I am challenging you to start believing good things. Believe you can do whatever you need to do in life through God who empowers you and gives you strength. "

What have you been believing for?  Could it be that your believing for nothing or for the worst and that's what your seeing in your life?   Could it be that "you have not, because you ask not?" Take the limits off God and He'll take the limits off you.  Don't have a "give up easy" attitude.  Today, let your faith soar.  Start believing for God's best for your life and let His perfect plan take you to places you never dreamed or even thought possible.  "With God, all things are possible."

What are you planning for?

"May He give you the desire(s) of your heart and make your plans succeed."

We hear a lot from time to time about planning for the worst.  Financial advisors can tell you approximately how much of your income you should have saved in the event you lose a job, become sick, or can't work---"save it for a rainy day" comes to mind.  Many have plans of where they would take shelter in the times of bad weather and so on.  What about planning for good things?  Do we expect, plan and allow room for those things in our lives as well.  Don't get me wrong, I think it's great to be prepared and yes there have been times that I wished I'd saved more and spent less; but, are we so busy planning for the worst that we never allow room for God's best to unfold in our lives?

Have you ever been around a negative person with a negative mindset, and a lot of what came out of their mouth was negative?  If you notice they probably have a lot of negative things going on in their lives as well.  On the flip side are those positive people who never lose hope.  They remain positive regardless of what life brings their way and it seems that good things do happen in their lives.  I don't believe that God wants us to live in negativity and lack; but, if His plans for us are good, He wants us to be happy, joyous, free and prosperous.  That doesn't necessarily mean we are all meant to be millionaires; but, I don't believe God wants us to lack what we need or even have some of what we want.

Today, instead of making plans for the worst, make plans for the best.      If God's plans for us are good and I believe they are, expect those good plans to unfold in your life.  Trust Him and trust His timing. He can provide favor in the right places for you and open doors that can't be closed.  Do your part knowing He'll do His and be blessed as you expect, plan, hope for and begin to see His best plans for your life unfold!

The Building of Faith

" Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well developed, not deficient in any way. "

" When life is filled with tests and trials, you sometimes feel like throwing in the towel. You are tempted to think God doesn’t know where you are and what you’re going through . . . or that He doesn’t care. "  Nothing could be further from the truth.  God's love for us never changes---His grace always sufficient!  How will your faith ever grow if it isn't stretched, worked out and put to the test?

God can use every challenge that comes into our lives for greater purpose.  Trials develop our character and help shape our faith.  If we'll do our part, God will do His.  Today, take heart in knowing when you remain faithful, especially during the challenging times that come, you will see good results.  " ...And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him. Trudging while Trusting

" Trust in the Lord and do good.  Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord ... trust in Him and He will bring it to pass. "

I used to hate the word trudge.  It sounded like trying to walking through quicksand or with a heavy burden on your back.  One day a friend of mine challenged me as to the meaning of the word.  When I couldn't give it's definition, He explained that it simply meant "to walk with purpose."  It totally changed my perception of the word, it's appearance and its applicability to my life.  While the word appeared in my own perception to mean one thing it actually meant something totally different.

Thus it is in life.  Things are not always as they appear.  In times of trusting, the lean times, or times we are faced with back to back life challenges and we don't know why, those times shape and mold our faith, deepen our relationship with our Creator, and if allowed can take us to places of greater purpose in our lives.

Today, as you walk with purpose during the times of trusting, may you find God's perfect plan for your life unfolding and taking you to greater places in your life than you ever dreamed possible!

Who's holding things together for you?

He is before all things and in Him, all things are held together."

Who holds things together in your life?  Who do you look to for strength, guidance and to make the right decisions?  Who holds your life, marriage, job, relationships, finances and you together?  Are you seeking God in your daily life or going blindly about your life with an " I got this " attitude thinking things are going good I don't need God's help right now or you'll only bother God when you have no where else to turn or when you need to make a 911 call?  Maybe you are at a crossroads in your life.  Things haven't quite worked out the way you thought they would and now your seeking God and waiting on the right answers, the right doors to open and for the right direction.

God often works the most when we see or feel it the least.  In the blink of an eye, God can suddenly change your circumstances and provide the right answers, direction and guidance.  It's not always on our timeline; but according to His great plan and purpose for our lives.

Today, "God knows right where your are, and He knows how to get you to where you need to be." He will hold things together for you if you allow Him and if He is the first and foremost in your life.  Today, take heart in knowing God has good plans for your life and in knowing that "Those who wait on Him, shall renew their strength.  They shall mount up with wings like eagles.  They shall run and not be weary...walk and not faint."

He goes before you!

" I will go before you and make the crooked places straight."

"No matter what you may be facing, no matter what kind of decisions you have to make, consider God.  Ask Him to direct your steps and confirm His perfect plan.  Remember, He is the best counselor there is.  Let Him direct and guide your path.  As you seek Him and put Him first, He promises to lead you in the path of blessing in every area of your life."

Today, in allowing God to go before you, may you find yourself led to the right thoughts, words and actions thus making the right decisions that take you into the greater purpose and place of victory God so desires for your life!  Today will you let Him go before you and follow His lead?

Freedom in Contentment

"...I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”

"In life, sometimes it’s easy to get so focused on our dreams and goals that we tune out everything else. We can get to the point where we’re not going to be happy until we see those things happen. But I’ve found that if we have to have something in order to be happy, our lives are out of balance. When our goals and dreams start to frustrate us; when we lose our peace and don’t enjoy life, that’s a clear sign that we’re holding on too tightly. What’s the solution? You’ve got to release it. Freedom comes when you say, “God, I’m turning it all over to You. You know my desires and what’s best for me. I’m choosing to trust You and trust Your timing.”

When we learn to be content whatever the circumstances, it takes away the power of the enemy. It takes away his ability to frustrate us. Not only that, but by our actions we are showing our faith in God. When you choose to trust in His timing, you can live in peace, you can live in joy, and you can rest in Him knowing that He has good things in store for your future. Today, find freedom in contentment and rest in His everlasting peace."

Opposition = Opportunity?

" Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful ... "

Opposition or opportunity?  So many times in our lives we are greeted with opposition and challenges in daily life.  Have your every thought the bigger the opposition, the bigger the opportunity?  Have you looked deeper into whatever it is to see what God could be doing to try to advance you to he next level?

While God may not send the opposition, challenges, tragedy and things to come in life that test our faith. The enemy certainly can step in and take a foothold if allowed to get us down, out and discouraged. God wants to use these times to strengthen, sustain and build out faith.

Today, "remain faithful during you adversity.  Make up your mind to serve God no matter what comes against you.  Fight the good fight if faith.  God will not waste anything you go through."  He can however use these times to stretch our faith, and help us mature.  Trust God after all it's Him supplies our needs.  Yes you may get a paycheck or God may choose to provide financially for you in other means, He is still the provider who enables you to be successful.

Today, opposition or opportunity? How can I / you bring God into the situation to come out on the other side and be who we are supposed to be?  By continuing to seek God, not giving up in adverse situations and continuing to hold to our faith knowing nothing is wasted in God's economy and he won't waste what your going trough; but,  position you for greater things,  greater purpose and success, IF, you'll just stay faithful through the challenges life can bring.  Today let your oppositions be opportunities and let God take you, place you and provide for you what you need!

The path of least resistance is not always God's path.

" If you're not ready for resistance you're not ready to follow God."

I can't count the times I have been at a crossroads in my life. Faced with big decisions, changes and so many things to consider (at least I thought in my human mind) which course to take, which turn to make, which decision was the right one.  While God gives direction, it's not always a lightning bolt that comes out of the sky or a billboard telling us what to do, or a plane flying over with a banner giving us the answer.  I have found it takes seeking, sometimes waiting; but, there comes a point in life we all face tough decisions and we have to do the best we can to follow God's lead, in hopes to make the right one, the leading He provides within.

One thing I've learned since I surrendered my will and life totally to God (prayed the prayer and meant it) is God's path for us is not always the one of least resistance.  It's not always the easy path.  Sometimes it's taking the higher (and as friend of mine calls it) the "harder road".

I was recently faced with a big decision in which I had to make a tough choice and after months of endurance and months of seeking Him it became obvious that it was time to take a step of faith and take the harder, higher road.  Mixed reviews from friends and family left me still a little unsure (sometimes even more confused); but, at the end of the day only I could seek God, take a stand, and make the decision that I felt was the right one and then it came---the answer, the obvious, it was time to make a "right" turn, exit the road I was on & step out in Faith and move into the next chapter of what God has in store for my life.  Sure I could have sit back and taken the path to least resistance; but, it was time to take a stand and move on.  I have read that "the answers will come when your own house is in order".  I have found that to be true.  God has been there each step of the way.  There have been some times in which my faith has been challenged to the the max; but, God has been faithful to see me through.  He's put the right people in my life at the right time.   He's never left my side & has honored the stand I took and the decision to take the higher/harder road.  I am excited as I watch the next chapter of my life unfold and where God is leading and live in anticipation of what's next everyday.  I can say I feel the hand of God on my life stronger than ever before!

Today, you may be at a crossroads in your life.  The right decision and what God would have you do, may not be the path of least resistance and it may mean talking the higher/harder road.  Seek God, make a decision under us guiding hand and go with it.  Don't look back second guessing yourself.  God wants to take us all to areas of greater purpose and lead us down the path to victory.  Today, will you let Him?  Are you going to take the path of least resistance or step out in faith, follow God's lead, make a decision and move forward or look back in 20 years and still be in the same place you are today?

Today, may following God's lead, taking the higher/harder road & doing the next right thing take you into a deeper walk with your Creator and lead you to do the right things, make the right choices and ultimately find yourself exactly where God would have you.  Today---no fear, only faith! "God will supply all of our needs according to His riches and glory." Today, make the decision, stick to it and open your hands, heart and mind to receive the next "new" things and blessings God has in store for you.  He IS the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him and He will be faithful to see you through to a flourishing finish IF you follow Him and if you will let Him!  "Through the storm, He is Lord---Lord of all!"

Are you going against God's grain!

" I’ve always been present with you.  I am God, your God, who teaches you how to live right and well. I show you what to do, where to go. "

God speaks to all of us in many ways.  When we seek Him, He leads us in the best direction for our life.  We know when He is dealing with us on something and we know when we go against His guidance and direction.  That still small voice inside, that God conscious that leads, those alarms that begin to blare when He has directed us one way and in self-will we go selfishly another---we know when God is dealing with us, leading, guiding and directing and we pay the price if we refuse to follow His lead and go it on our on and in the opposite direction that He leads.

Are you staying in step with God or going against the grain?  Are you sensitive to His lead, following it or are you putting yourself and others in a position to be hurt because of your own selfish and self-centered desires.  I've been there and it never works out well when I go against God's direction.  I either get hurt and pay the price, dealing with the consequences, or end up hurting someone else and have to make it right.  Thank God, after many tough lessons learned, I've learned the value of God's direction in my life and try to follow it the best I can and be who He'd have me.

Today, let God's lead keep you moving in the right direction and lead you to the right places in your life, taking you to higher heights, better places, greater purpose and give you happiness, joy and freedom that can only be found in following Him.  People, places and things will temporarily change how you feel; but, they will fade and then you will be left let down, hurt and left to clean up the mess you made when in reality all you had to do was simply follow God's lead instead of doing things your own way.  May God bless you today and give you peace, security and provision as you follow His lead for your life.  Doing the next right thing is not always easy; but, it's possible.  The question today is will you---will you follow God's lead.
