* Burned out? Stressed out? Not sure what to do next? *

" Be still and know He is God. "

"If we'll just slow down and quiet our minds enough to hear His promptings, we can live in a place of peace, ready to respond obediently. It is easy to see that leading a peaceful, happy life, free from exhaustion and burnout, is not all that complicated, as long as we take time to be still and know that He is God. "

When is the last time you have given God a minute of your time other than just to ask for something you need or for him get you out of a pinch? When is the last time you were really still seeking and listening to what He would like to say to you.  Today, stop for a minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes or even an hour and seek God.  You will be amazed at the difference it will make in your life and your relationship with God.  "God is the rewarder of those who seek Him."  Today, be still and know that He is God and let your God experience, your God encounter, your God time transform you and your life so that you will never be the same again!

Letting go

" Let go.  Let God."

"  If we are to let go of a problem, we must feel in our hearts that no matter what the outcome, God has a special purpose for us. We may not be able to see that purpose now, but if we let God. guide us, we will be guided down the right path. If we do our best to detach from our pain and try to see a more peaceful future, we will feel secure in God's hands. Given this security, we'll be free to direct our energy toward positive, healthy choices that will bring us more of the happiness we deserve. "

Today, in letting go and letting God, may you find peace in your heart, joy in your soul, and a deep assurance that when placed in God's hands everything will be OK, including you!

As we rejoice over past blessings, we open ourselves to more blessings in the future.

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. "

What usually happens when we as humans have things facing us in which we don't have the answers, don't feel we have clear direction of God's will of what to do in a situation, or don't know how something we are praying for and need desperately is going to work out.  It's easy to let worry, depression, and self pity sit in.

In times like these if we look back over the coarse of our lives we can remember and possibly even make a mental or physical list of the times when we didn't know how things were gonna work out, that God intervened---that He was faithful.  Looking at these times gives us assurance if He's done it before, He'll do it again.

Go knows our needs and while He's working behind the scenes on our behalf we don't always know it, especially when the answers and direction we are praying for in our lives have not come through.  So we make our needs and petitions known to Him.  We continue to pray for knowledge of His will and the power to carry it out.  We wait with faith and expectancy knowing at the right time, place and moment the answers will come, and we will see the hand of God provide the right answer, outcomes and direction in our lives.

Today if you, like me, are believing God for what seems like a mountain in your life, don't let the enemy bring doubt, depression and despondency to your life.  Keep remembering those times He's come through for you in ways you couldn't have imagined or planned and take heart knowing His hand is upon your life.  He hasn't gone anywhere.  He can open doors no man can close and vice versa.  He can provide favor to get you to where you need to be.  Today, instead of worrying, pray with expectancy, knowing your Creator wants the best for you.  Today, be still, and remember---He is God and with Him all things are possible!

How are YOU treating others? What seeds are you sowing?

" Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them. "

I've recently met someone who lives the above scripture as their life motto.  It shows in their attitude.  They way they treat people.  The way they go the extra mile to help and are hands on in giving assistance when they can.  I recently thanked them via email for kindness shown to me and they replied your welcome with the above scripture.

It made me think.  While I do my best each day to live the golden rule "do unto others as you'd have them so unto you", what a different place our world would be if everyone lived this live principal. I know by kindness shown by the person I'm referring to, my life has been impacted in a positive manner.  You can tell there is something different about them.  You can also tell that in living this motto,  they are happy, joyous and free!

I've read we reap what we sow.  What are you sowing?  Today, will you do for others what you'd have them do for you?  Will you treat your neighbor as yourself?  Will you look for areas to make someone's life or hardship a little lighter by showing some kindness toward them, by lending a helping hand or being a blessing in their life?  Today, show kindness to others that you desire to be shown and be blessed in doing so for this doesn't go unnoticed by God.  He rewards not only those who seek Him; but, also those who seek to be like Him!

Faith - when Hope is hard to find.

"Those who wait for The Lord, who expect, look for and Hope in Him, shall renew their strength."

Sometimes life can be overwhelming.  We can be doing just fine and suddenly blind sided life comes at us fast with challenges left and right stacked on top of each other.  When this happens it can be easy to lose hope, to give up, to give in; but, that's where Faith comes in.  It's not thinking or merely hoping God will see you through, it's KNOWING that He will.

My friend, today if your underneath a load of life's challenges, turn them over to God.  He's the God that can make a way when there seems no way.  "Faith, the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Today, don't lose heart, don't lose hope and don't give up.  God hasn't brought you this far to drop you.  Exercise your faith and let God open doors for you that cannot be closed and make a way when there seems to be no way and a way you never dreamed possible!

People pleasing or God pleasing ?

" It is impossible to please both God and man. "
" It's not my place to worry about what others think about me."
" Those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter. "

" It takes boldness to follow God instead of the crowd. Being excessively concerned about what others think leads only to torment. Although all of us enjoy being well thought of, it is not possible to be liked by everyone all the time.  In God's economy, we usually have to be willing to lose something we have in order to gain what we really want in life, and that means we have to stop comparing ourselves to other people's standards and start living for God.

People who are real friends will help you be all God wants you to be. They won't judge you for following God's call or God's lead---for being who you feel God would have you be and doing what you feel God would have you do.  Real friends will encourage you to make God number one in your life.  Even if everyone else walks away from you, He promises to never leave you or forsake you.

Life gets too complicated, confusing and frustrating when we try to please both God and people. You don't have to compare yourself to anyone and worry what people think about you. Live life for God and be free to be who He made you to be! "  Thank you God for freedom from the opinions of man!  Today may I walk in your light the path you have set before me, being who you'd have me be, doing what you'd have me do, regardless of what others think, free from the bondage of the opinions of others, knowing in the end---your opinion is the one that really matters!

Expectations in an imperfect world, with imperfect people.

"He doesn't change---the same yesterday, today and forever."

EXPECTATION:  A strong belief that something will happen or be the case in the future.  A belief that someone will do what they said or keep their commitment.  The belief that a promise will be fulfilled.

We all have expectations and sometimes we may even have them and not realize it.  I'm not talking about expecting the light to come on when you flip the switch or the water to run when you turn the faucet.  I'm talking about expectations in which we are expecting something to happen or someone to do what they said, keep their commitment and then it doesn't happen.  Maybe someone we've put our trust in, lets us down.  Maybe someone uses us or takes advantage of our kindness.  Expectations---one of the biggest tools the enemy uses to steal our peace and joy and build resentments.

For years I was bound up in pain because I expected people to always follow through, to do what they said, to keep their commitments and in times when it didn't happen, I found myself let down, angry, frustrated, and even resentful.  I'm grateful God freed me from that.  Does that mean there isn't still an occasional disappointment in life?  No.  It does mean that it no longer steals my peace, joy and serenity.  People with let you down, regardless of who they are, how well you think you know them, and how much you care about them---they will.  God is the only one who without any doubt stays the same and will never let you down without fail.

Today, maybe your dealing with an expectation not being met and your bound up in resentment, anger, and you've lost your peace and serenity over someone or something and an unmet expectation.  Give it to God.   Forgive whoever didn't fulfill their obligation or meet your expectation and let God turn your sorrow into joy.  Refuse to let anyone or anything steal your peace and serenity.  I refuse too for I've worked to hard to get it and in building a solid spiritual relationship with the one who never fails!  Today, get rid of those expectations and with God's help let Him set you free from the hurt and pain of being let down. Put your faith and trust in the one who will never fail and will never let you down---God!  When your foundation is built on a relationship with one who never fails---when others fail---it won't be a setback for you'll continue securely moving forward into His greater purpose, victorious, with your peace and serenity in tact!

Stay the course

"You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You’re blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That’s right—you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I’d never have any regrets...thank you for speaking straight from your heart."

Life can be challenging at times.  We can be going along doing our best to be who God would have us, seeking Him and all the sudden we are hit blind side with another life challenge.

It's important during times in which life can be overwhelming that we stay the course, keep the faith, and walk through the tough times leaning on God to see us through.  During these times our faith may be tested; but, God is faithful and if we remember the times He's been faithful to see us through, we can take heart in knowing He'll see us through whatever may be facing us again!

Today, no matter what you face, what curve ball life has thrown you, stay the course, keep the faith, keep praying, believing and being who God would have you be.  Just because things may seem less than favorable today doesn't mean they will be that way tomorrow...yes "this too soon shall pass."  Stay the course and follow God's lead through the challenge course of life and God will see you through to a flourishing finish and bring you out stronger, better and further along in the plan and greater purpose He has for your life.

Amazing Grace

"Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come. 'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far and grace will lead me home."

What do you think of when you think of grace?  Do you think it's some term not applicable to you because you can never be perfect.  Maybe you compare your life to another and think you could never be as good of a person or as perfect as them.  That's where grace comes in.  It's not just applicable to a denomination of people or to those we look at their lives and they never seem to fail.   It's available to us all, sinner and saint.

God's grace cannot be earned.  It's a free gift to be accepted.  It covers a multitude of shortcomings and tells us when we fail, to get up, dust ourselves off, receive God's gracious forgiveness and move on---try again!  God's grace makes all things new including me and you. It gives 2nd chances, even 3rd's and 4th's.

So maybe you fell short in some area yesterday, it's ok.  God's grace make all things new.  Today is a new day and God's grace can make a new you to do a little better today at things than you did the day before, with a fresh start! Today, don't compare yourself to others.  You'll never win in the comparison game.  Accept God's grace so freely given, move on and let God help make those shortcomings into stepping stones of greater purpose, higher honor and lead to a life of victorious living He so desires for you.  Today, God's grace says I forgive, forgive yourself and move on.  Today, new day, new grace, new you and with God's help new victories to be won!  Remember "His love never fails, never gives up and never runs out on me."  Thanks God!

Beauty for ashes.

" He took what was meant for harm and turned it into something good."  " He will give beauty for ashes. "

God can take our messes (we all have them or have had then) and turn then into a message.  The things we've been through in life are not in vain.  You never know when God is going to put someone in your life who needs to hear your story, what you went through and how God brought you through---to give them Hope.

An excerpt from a well known pastor:  "He will give us 'beauty instead of ashes,' but I find that many people want to hold on to their ashes, the cinders of the past, as reminders of their shortcomings and failures. I encourage you to let go of your ashes and reach for something new.

Too many people live in the past, feeling like they'll never have another chance. Do you need a second chance? Ask God for a second chance or a third, fourth or fifth—whatever you need. God is full of mercy and long-suffering. His loving-kindness never fails or comes to an end...He has removed your transgressions from you, so you don't have to hang on to them anymore."

Today, be willing to let go of your ashes and believe He is greater than your mistakes. Give Him your ashes today and let Him start making your life into something beautiful!

Trust God. Trust His Process.

"Embrace this God-life.  Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you...That's why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large.  Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you'll get God's everything."

We live in a world of conveniences today.  With the touch of a button or even at the sound of our voices our phones, cars and other things perform certain actions for us immediately.  We can go to the ATM punch in a pin and get money---even now, cash back at the grocery store.  New technologies are released everyday that bring more conveniences to us for less work on our part.

What about God?  Do you always expect Him to give you your hearts desires or your answers immediately upon the sound of your voice?  Do you expect Him to always rescue you in a crisis---yet He hasn't heard from you in weeks until you get into a bind?

God wants a relationship with us, not just when we are in a crisis.  He doesn't always work like an ATM or on voice command, even though He hears our prayers.  Sometimes His delivery takes time and it's on His time table not ours.  Walking through life experiences often helps us grow spiritually, becoming better people and that's why He often allows us to walk through things as He rather see us change rather than change our circumstances.

Today, if you've been faithful to Him, He'll be faithful to you.  If you haven't, it's not to late to start.  Trust God and Trust His process.  It may mean some waiting time and that things don't happen immediately; but when your Creator is in charge of your life---how could the outcome, when it comes, not be for your good, greater purpose and ultimately bring you into a closer walk with Him?  God is on your side.  Don't give up during the time of waiting.  "Persistence is a vital link to obtaining victory."  Knowing God is working behind the scenes on your behalf, to take you to greater places, and provide what's best---how could you not trust Him and His process?  God does nothing half way and just because your having to wait on Him, if its for your best, isn't it worth it?  For me the answer is an absolute YES!    Know today that "He who began a good work in you with be faithful to complete it!"  Today, Trust God and trust His process---He'll be faithful to see you through, just don't give up before the miracle happens!

Attitude - a small thing that makes a big difference.

"My attitude and perspective can make life more positive and joyful,"  and right the opposite, my attitude can make life miserable, gloomy and downright difficult to bear.

God desires to renew our minds daily. I get my mind renewed by spending time with Him each day, praying, meditating, reading, being still knowing He is God, shutting the world out and allowing Him to direct my thinking for the day.  I then am able to have that better attitude.  My outlooks on things are different.  I think more positively of myself and am more apt to see good in others and the world instead of being so focused on all that's wrong in someone, the world and even my life.

"Prayer is so simple that even the feeblest child can pray, yet it is at the same time the highest and holiest work to which man can rise. It is fellowship with the Unseen and Most Holy One---God."  Today as you pray and then go about your day, have the courage to be who God would have you be.  Unhappiness comes when we try to be like everyone else rather than embracing the person that God is shaping us to be.  When we try to please everyone else, overcommit instead of learning to say no, act in a way that we know is not how God would have us carry ourselves, we find ourselves stressed out, worn out, ungrateful, and with bad attitudes.  Another way to a better attitude, is learning to cope with criticism. Have enough confidence in who you are in God that you can listen to others and be open to change without feeling you have to agree with their viewpoint or attain their approval.

God has planted greatness in you. Let today be the beginning of a great adventure as you step into the gifts He's given you, as you allow Him to renew your mind, and as you learn to hear from Him, be who He'd have you be and react to situations the way He'd have you. Today let God shape your attitude and in doing so may you find, peace. joy and a positive outlook on life, as I have.  The right Godly shaped attitude makes life more joyful, positive and much easier to bear!  It brings us closer to our Creator; moreover, an attitude of gratitude lets God know we appreciate His goodness, keeps us from grumbling and opens the door for God to show Himself strong in our lives!

Living a God led life!

"Throw yourselves wholeheartedly and full-time into God's way of doing things. After all, you're not living under that old tyranny any longer. You're living in the freedom of God."

We all know what those internal alarms sound like when we are about to make a decision and/or take an action or speak a word that's not from God or His best for us.  When the God conscious is stirred within us trying to lead us in the right direction and we, in our self-will, knowing better, go against God's leading and warnings, we put ourselves in positions to be hurt and to hurt others.

I have learned that when I live life sensitive to God's leading and I don't go against the internal alarms that blast when I'm about to make a wrong choice or decision, I live a happier, more joyful and peace filled life.

Today, don't ignore the still small voice, the internal GPS, that God consciousness that guides you into right thoughts, words, actions and deeds.  You'll never go wrong following God's lead; but, be ready to pay the price for ignoring God's leading, the red flags and warning signs.  God wants what's best for you.  Will you find it or do it your own way? Today, may following God's lead in your life take you to greater places of peace, joy and fulfillment and open doors for Him to pour out His blessings in your life as you stay sensitive to the leading of His spirit.  Thy will, not mine today God!

The Love of the Father

" SEE WHAT an incredible quality of love the Father has given, shown and bestowed on us, that we should be permitted to be named, called and counted the children of God! "

What an incredible love our Creator has for us His children.  That's a pretty awesome thought to know that God loves us, wants the best for us, and is working on our behaves behind the scenes to provide for us and care about every intimidate detail of our life---desiring to take us all to lives of greater purpose and victorious living.

Today, on Father's Day, I'm grateful for a father who loves and cares about me and for our relationship.  I am also grateful that God has blessed me with two incredible children of whom I couldn't be more proud, a son-in-law who seems more like a son and now a new grandson!  There is nothing, as a father or grandfather I wouldn't do for them, or as a son I wouldn't do for my dad. To think that God loves us all that much or more---amazes me, gives me hope, confidence and assurance that He will continue to take care of each and every need in my life and provide the guidance needed each day.

Today, you may not have had a good relationship with your father or you may not even know who your father is.  Your father may have passed away and today you miss him greatly.  Your Heavenly Father loves you just the same and cares about you, your life and your future. One day you may have the opportunity to be the father to your own children you never had and break that chain (some call a generational curse) from being handed down to the next generation.  If your father has passed, you may have the ability one day to pass down the love and characteristics of a good father to your own children.  If you're a father today and maybe you haven't been the father you know you need to be, that God would have you be---it's not too late to start now!  Let God help you start the process today!

Today, regardless of your situation, take heart in knowing that God your Father loves and cares about your every need.  He cares about everything that concerns you and even the things that don't.  He wants to care for you and have a living breathing relationship with you and take you to greater places and a life of greater purpose.  Today, remember there is no greater love than God's love for His own---what an incredible reassurance that not matter what's facing you, He wants to see you through and provide the best things for your life and take you to a blessed life of greater purpose and victorious living!  Thanks God!

Do you pray "Thy will be done" and mean it?

"...praying only for knowledge of God's will and the power to carry it out..."

"There is beauty in a God-guided life. There is wonder in the feeling of being led by God. Try to realize God's bounty and goodness more and more. God is planning for you. Wonderful are His ways -- they are beyond your knowledge; but, God's leading will enter your consciousness more and more and bring you ever more peace and joy. Your life is being planned and blessed by God. You may count all material things as losses if they prevent your winning your way to the consciousness of God's guidance!"

Today, as you pray for God's will and the power to carry it out, and mean it, may you experience the fullness and rewards of your Creator as He takes you to greater things and a life with greater purpose, blessing and victory!  He really doesn't "make too hard terms for those who seek Him"!

Co-dependency on others or Full Dependency on God?

"I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you're joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant...if you make yourselves at home with Me and My words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon."

DEPENDENCE:  The state of relying on or being controlled by someone or something else. Reliance on someone or something for support (dependency - reliance - trust - confidence - subjection).  What are you dependent on today?  Moreover, who are you dependent on today?  Is it a person, place, or thing, and if whatever it is was no longer in your life tomorrow, would you be OK?  Are you co-dependent on another person for your happiness, sense of worth, security, confidence and stability?  What if that person was no longer in your life tomorrow?

God wants us to be dependent on Him.  When unhealthy dependence on a person, place or thing becomes a part of our life, and our happiness rest on that thing, we have lost sight of the importance of placing our dependence on God first and foremost and have set ourselves up for hurt, disappointment, and being let down.  People, places and things will let you down; but, one remains constant and will never fail or let you down---God.  "When you show that kind of dependency on God, there is nothing He won't do for you. God will move heaven and earth to get you to where you're supposed to be."

Today, let placing your dependence first and foremost on your Creator bring you strength, confidence, joy, guidance, provision and happiness you need.  May doing so take you to a life of victorious living and greater purpose as you're fulfilled by FULL and TOTAL Dependence on the One who will never let you down, the one who never fails---God, your Creator, your Heavenly Father who desires and wants the best for you and your life.

Life handed to you on a silver platter---Really?

"That You may give him power to keep himself calm in the days of adversity..."  "God will do for you what you cannot; but He will not do for you what you can do for yourself."

What's your prayer list look like (if you have one)?  When you pray, do you tell God how you think it would be best for Him to work things out or do you bring your petitions to Him and pray for His will, guidance and direction?  Because you have a relationship with God do you expect everything to be handed to you on a silver platter and never have to do any work on your own to nurture the relationship with Him, to take action and do your part to follow His lead, to make the changes in your life He's dealing with you about, to never face life's challenges or deal with adversity?  When life hits you with a problem (an opportunity for growth) do you go into default mode, feeling like God is punishing you for something or that you've done something wrong and you distance yourself from God?

God will do for us what we cannot; but, He will not do for us what we can and what He has equipped us to do.  Each of us have the ability to keep calm in challenging situations, handle them in a Godly fashion and carry on; but, do you dramatize everything making life's challenges always a crisis?  If you're waiting on a report from the doctor, do you go into "poor pitiful me" mode and dramatize your situation as if you're on your deathbed or do you speak words of faith, victory and healing into your situation?  Do you take advantage of people and friendships and when someone says no or doesn't give you what you want, do what you want them to or have anything to offer you, you then toss them to the wayside like a piece of trash?  Do you seek God daily and invite Him into your day or do you expect Him to seek you and automatically meet your needs without you ever asking or seeking Him.  "We are as close to God at any given moment as we choose to be."  When we are seeking God and doing our best to live life with greater purpose and the way He'd have us, He will bless our efforts with favor, success and provide in ways we never thought possible.

I will look at today as a day full of promise with hope and gladness in my heart.  I will do my part in maintaining my relationship with God.  I will expect God's blessings on my life; but, I will live in an awareness that while God is there to help, lead, guide and provide, it's up to me to maintain my part of a thriving relationship with Him that moves me forward in the right direction of greater purpose, a blessed life and victorious living that comes from a living, breathing, active relationship with Him!  Today, I'll do my part and I can rest assured that God will do His, taking care of the rest!

Victorious thinking leads to victorious living!

"Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world; but, let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then, you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good, pleasing and perfect."

THOUGHT:  An idea or opinion produced by thinking or occurring suddenly in the mind; a mental picture imagined and contemplated; a notion, opinion, reflection.  Our human brain on an average day can have 70,000 thoughts.  Following those thoughts we make an average of 2500 decisions per day.  WOW---that seems like staggering statistics and a lot of thinking and doing; but, if you think from the time your eyes open until you close them in sleep at night, there's been a ton of thoughts, followed by words, actions and deeds in a day.

So, if our thoughts lead to actions and they shape our attitude and our outlook on life, how is your thinking?  Do you find yourself drifting off into morbid reflection at times during the day over a wound, hurt, action, or word from someone?  Maybe you find yourself wanting to get even with someone.  Do you dwell on mistakes from the past or find yourself second guessing decisions and actions you've taken because in looking back you didn't seek God when the thought came and the action/deed followed, you just reacted on your own self-will?  One of the things I'm most grateful for in my relationship with God is the way He's transformed my thinking which ultimately has transformed my whole attitude and outlook on life.  The way He directs my thinking as I seek Him and His will daily in my life and situations that arise.  You don't have to live life bound to negative thought patterns, bitterness and a victim mentality.  God wants us to live positive faith filled victorious lives and that starts with our thinking and allowing Him daily to renew our minds.

Today, let God transform and renew your mind and thinking.  Let Him take captive those negative thoughts that aren't from Him and replace them with faith filled victorious thoughts.  Let Him renew your mind daily, learning to see the good in the world, in others and in your life and the situations you face, knowing that He is going to see you through.  Today, don't live a defeated life with negative thinking.  "Our thought life will be placed on a higher plain when our thinking is cleared of wrong motives."  Today, let God renew your mind and fill it with faith filled victorious thoughts (on a higher plain) that lead to a life of greater purpose and victorious living that He desires and has in store for you!

Small vs. Big and everything in between.

"May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing....."

God's grace can never be earned. It's a free gift to all who place their hope in Him.  His forgiveness stretches from past failures to the shortcomings that may happen today or in the future.  Often we beat ourselves up for shortcomings that arise in daily life, feeling less than, a failure, defeated or that we are not worthy of God's love---trying too hard to earn His grace and be the perfect person we believe He'd have us be.  We are human, God knows we will make mistakes and thankfully we serve a loving God who forgives past, present and future mistakes because of His grace.  Grace not to be used as an excuse to keep living in ways we know He would not have us; but, Grace for the shortcomings when we simply just miss the mark or fall short.

Are you attentive to the voice of God however you've learned to hear from Him?  When His still small voice speaks inside you, He speaks through another person, an event or a closed door, are you listening and attentive or chalking it up to happenstance, aimlessly going about your day and your life with an "I got this" mentality?  God wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives big, small and everything in between.  Do you reach out to Him for the small things or do you think that's senseless---"why bother God with this small detail"?  Do you only reach out to him for 911 calls or do you carry Him with you throughout the day, praying without ceasing and asking His guidance and direction---"knowledge of His will and the power to carry it out"---in the small things, the big things and everything in between?  "When you learn to hear His voice in the little things, you’ll be confident to hear Him in the big things. When you acknowledge God, He breathes His favor on you. You’ll come into an anointing of ease. What could have been a struggle won’t be a struggle anymore---that’s God crowning your efforts with success."

"God wants to be intimately involved in your life.  He wants you to come to Him, depend on him, and allow him to show Himself strong on your behalf.  If you are looking for an open door, turn to God. Pray and ask him to direct your every step.  Keep asking, seeking, knocking and believing because God wants to open those doors for you, and He wants you to know that He is the one working behind the scenes on your behalf.  He will lead you and guide you."  Today and every day, ask Him for help, He wants to help and lead and guide you in every area of your life and ultimately into the abundant life of greater purpose He has in store for you!

In All Things

"In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

"God wants to help you in life. Not just in the big things, but in every detail. He wants to help you when you’re cooking dinner or driving in traffic. He wants to help you with your schoolwork, help you be more productive at the office, even help you find what you’re looking for when you’re at the store.

The key is that God will only be involved as much as you allow Him to be. Don’t just invite Him into your day on Sunday. Don’t just ask Him about the big things. Learn to hear His voice in the little things. He is big enough to handle every single detail.

'Acknowledge God in all of your ways.' Not some of your ways. Not just the big things — in all things. If you’ll start acknowledging God in all of your ways, He will crown your efforts with success.
Father, today I open my heart and life to You in a fresh, new way. I surrender every detail, every moment of every day to You. I choose to acknowledge You in all my ways knowing that Your hand is upon me!  Amen."  (Borrowed)

You're not alone. Never alone. Never again.

"It is the Lord who goes before you; He will march with you; He will not fail you or let you go or forsake you; let there be no cowardice or flinching---fear not, neither become broken in spirit--depressed, dismayed, and unnerved with alarm."

There have been times in my past life with everything seemingly going for me and often with lots of people around me, I still felt alone.  There was a void in my life that was always there and for years I ran from one thing to another to try and fix myself and fill the void with people, place and things.  Temporary chemical alterations of myself and my feelings quickly faded and when it wore off I was still left with that feeling of being alone.

No more.  Three years ago when I truly found a new way to live life and I truly surrendered my will and life to the care of God and began to seek His will for my life, that void was filled, it went away and now gratefully today, I may be alone at times; but I never feel alone nor am I constantly chasing something to fix what only a relationship with God can fix.  There's no longer a void---it's gone.

I was reading an article from one of the largest pastors in the US recently and of all the hundreds of thousands of prayer requests they receive are from people asking for prayer for loneliness---not financial, not healing, not restoration of a relationship or freedom from an addiction; but freedom from loneliness.  Wow!

Today, you may be able to relate.  You too may feel alone in a crowded room of people.  You may have lost a spouse or loved one and your soul aches because they are no longer in your life and your heart breaks.  What is your relationship like with God?  Have you truly let Him in?  Have you truly developed a living, breathing, relationship with Him?  Have you taken Him out of the box and taken the limits off what He can do or do you have small minded thinking about Him?  Are you seeking His best---His will in your daily life and decisions or selfishly your own?  Are you allowing Him to enable you to live your best life now each and every day?

Today, let God fill the void in your life that only He can.  "Stir up, rekindle the embers, fan the flame of and keep burning the gracious gift of God, that inner fire that is in you". Today, let God replace loneliness with a fulfillment that nothing else, nothing physical---a person, place or thing can fill.  Today, know that "the only one who can satisfy the human heart is the one who created it."  The question is will you let Him?  Once you do, your life will never be the same and you'll never be lonely again.  Thanks God!

God's power to deliver is far greater than any problems we may face.

"There is one who has all power.  That one is God.  May you find him now."

Are you a person who carries a "poor pitiful me" mentality, always talking about your problems?  If someone is sick, you're sicker.  If someone is facing a life challenge, your's is much worse?  Do you go around dramatizing your problems such that it seems it's the end of the world?  Are you expecting bad things to happen or are you on the lookout for God's blessings?  Do you expect the worst or the best?  Are you a "God's done it before, He'll do it again" kind of person, keeping the faith, talking about your God instead of your problems?  Rather than dramatizing your own issues with a self-pity attitude, do you seize opportunities to lift others up and encourage them or are you so focused on yourself that you miss these opportunities when God places them before you and therefore you miss the blessings as well?

When we get out of ourselves selflessly and focus on helping and/or encouraging others who may have a need, our problems suddenly seem minimized and we often forget they even exist and find strength through adversity.  If we look around us, it doesn't take long to find things we have to be grateful for regardless of what's facing us.  There is always someone out there who has it so much worse.

Today instead of maximizing your problems and being so focused on your own challenges, turn them over to God, get out of yourself and do something kind for someone else less.  Today seize opportunities to show God's love by random acts of kindness for someone else.  Instead of focusing on what's wrong in your life, focus on what's right.  Instead of talking about your problems---talk about your God, knowing He's not brought you this far to drop you now.  If He's seen you through before, rest assured He'll be faithful to do it again!

When a door slams shut.

"Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference"
"God is the God of exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or think."

We've all experienced times in our lives when something didn't go as we thought or planned.  A door slams shut, a life changing event occurs, the tragic loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, the job that didn't come through that we just knew was perfect for us, financial setbacks, a friend who turned their back on us, a romantic relationship or marriage that ended, an accident that changed the course of our lives and plans, someone who betrayed us, etc.  We've all had the experience of a door slamming shut in our face leaving us with questions of "what now, how am I gonna make it, how could they, or God what are you thinking---what are you doing, what am I supposed to do now, what next?"

Maybe you've experienced a door in life that's slammed shut and you're left with the question "God now what?" In times like this, it's so important to be sensitive to God's leading.  When this happens God usually has something better in store, a better plan, a better design and can also be protecting us from pain and heartache up ahead had the door remained open and we'd walked through it.  A closed door doesn't mean the end; but, often the beginning of something so much incredibly better, something greater God has in store, a greater job, relationship, a greater blessing that at the time of the door closing we are not privy too.  God works in mysterious ways.

If you've had a door slam shut or you're beating your head up against the same door getting no where, maybe God is trying to tell you something, trying to take you to better things, trying to get you to refocus on something better, trying to tell you to move on, trying to get you to look for another door that's open, which you haven't been able to see by being so focused on the door that's closed.  God can close doors that can't be opened and open doors that can't be closed.  If you trust Him, stay sensitive to His lead, exercise your faith and keep a good attitude that He must have something better in store, He can lead you into greater places of victory, greater purpose and take you to places than you've never dreamed.

Today, keep a good attitude and remember a closed door is not the end; but, instead, just may be the beginning of something incredible for you up ahead.  Keep a positive attitude of faith, be sensitive to His lead, let go of the disappointment and get excited about the better things He has in store for your future.  Move on with God's help.  Trust that if He closed a door in your life, He'll open another one that may just leave you shaking your head in amazement when you look back!  Today trust God, His timing, His will, His leading and direction for your life and instead of focusing on the closed door, adjust your attitude realizing that God obviously has something better in store and is going to see you through and provide for your every need.  Be excited about that and begin by faith looking for a new open door, new opportunities that will take you to far better places than you ever thought possible.  Remember today, He's the God of "exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or think".  Trust Him.  Thank Him.  He knows what's He's doing and He longs to take care of you and meet your every need!

Faith says, " God can do it! " Worry says, " God isn't able to help me. "

"So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble."

Somedays it seems like life can just pile on, pile on, pile on---one challenge or opportunity for growth after another.  How many more challenges can a day bring, some days we may ask.  We are also taught that as we face trials and tribulations, God can use those things to perfect our patience, faith and trust in Him as well as shape our character.

Worry and anxiety are not characteristics of a Godly relationship.  Yet still, many who profess to know God, worry.  You can choose to worry, or you can reject worry and choose to exercise your faith, living with joy, peace and assurance, knowing that He has promised to supply all our needs "according to His riches and glory".  Some people seem to find an odd comfort in worrying thinking it is beyond their control. It's not. It's just become familiar and we often gravitate to what's familiar to us.  Worry is the opposite of exercising your faith in God.  It's like telling God you don't trust Him to take care of whatever the situation is you are facing and that He can't help you.  Faith says, " God can do it. " Worry says, " God isn't able to help me. "  Do you really want to tell God He can't help you?  Not me.

Today, which do you choose --- God can or God can't?  Today, I choose to trust that my God is a can do God --- able to do and proven to do "Exceedingly & abundantly above all I could ask or think" for "with Him nothing is impossible and ALL things are possible!"

Lord God I know that worry is not from you.  Help me and those reading this post to cast all anxieties, worry and cares on you.  Enable us to trust You more, worry less and exercise our faith in You to provide for our every need, remembering, that you take care of your own, those who love you --- knowing that "with you all things are POSSIBLE" and that, you've proven time and again!  Thanks God!

His love never fails, never gives up and never runs out on me.

"Because he loves me, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name."

"If we really want to be victorious in serving God and make a difference in the world, then we are going to go through some challenging things. The enemy will try to scare you off, but God can see you through any challenge.  Choose to let God work through you, even in the face of opposition. As your patience grows and develops, you will step into a life of great victory."

"And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue developing that good work and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you."

"Today, I encourage you to be on the lookout for God’s goodness. Acknowledge His name; acknowledge His love. Listen to the still, small voice and let Him direct your steps. He will lead you, guide you and protect you all the days of your life!"

"If you struggle with a constant sense of failure, adopt a new attitude. ' I am not where I need to be, but thank God I am not where I used to be. I’m okay, and I’m on my way! '   With Him on your side, things are bound to work out all right in the end."

You can't fill a spiritual Godly void with a physical object.

No matter now hard you try to fill the spiritual void in your life with people, places and things, your always gonna be left back at ground zero when the new of the physical object wears off, looking for the next thing to try---the next object.  Things that temporarily change how we feel are short lived and will never be able to satisfy that deep longing for the spiritual void in our lives to be filled with temporary solutions---a new relationship, a fancier car, a bigger home, a better paying job, etc.  There is only one way this can be done and it's to truly allow God to permanently fill that void in our lives.

Follow your inner voice, your God conscious and let Him have the proper place in your life.  Let him reveal the things you are using as temporary fixes for having that spiritual void filled.  There's no better feeling that allowing God to take His proper place in your life and lead, guide and direct you to greater things and greater purpose---to having the spiritual void filled permanently and knowing His hand is on your life!

Today. will it be a temporary fix or a long term spiritual solution.  I'm grateful that I no longer look to the wrong people, places and things to fill a void only God can fill.  Today, will you let God have His proper place in your life or will you find yourself 20 years from now still running on the same hamster wheel of life, running from God.  Today, let God fill the void in your life and you'll never reach for the wrong things again.  There will be no need, the void will be gone and you'll be onto better things, greater purpose and living the better life God has in store for you.  You'll find yourself ok regardless of people, places or things!   It's an awesome place to be!

Do you ask God what to do?

"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."

When you have big decisions facing you, do you involve God in helping you make the right decision?  Do you ask for "knowledge of His will and the power to carry it out" or do you just hastily make decisions on your own without seeking God's will?  We all have decisions that face us everyday, do you involve God in those or just use Him when your in a bind and need to make a 911 prayer?

God is there.  He wants to lead guide and direct you into greater things, greater purpose and greater victory.  Some of the worse decisions I've made in life have been decisions in which I didn't seek God's direction and I made selfish choices.  I paid dearly for those decisions and those choices.  I'm grateful not to live that way anymore and to involve God in every aspect of my life.  It's so much easier, simpler and there is so much peace and serenity that comes in knowing you followed God's will and your right in the middle of where your supposed to be, doing exactly what your supposed to be doing!

"Trust in Him.   Always follow peace and make decisions based on Godly wisdom. Trust God to open doors for you that are right and close ones that are wrong."  Today, let Godly decisions take you to greater things, greater purpose, greater victories & a greater life!
