"This too soon shall pass!"

"Even though I walk through the valley ..., I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

"We've all been in seasons when we feel like things aren't going our way, or we're not where we want to be.  In these times, it's tempting to let discouragement and doubt come in and take away the peace and excitement you once had.

You may be struggling to truly be happy where you are; but don't get upset about your circumstances.  Be determined to walk through to victory.  Declare by faith that you are rising higher.  Keep standing, believing and hoping because God has a bright future in store for you!"

Today, just because things are the way they are today, doesn't mean they will be this way tomorrow.  "This too soon shall pass".  If you're walking through a tough stormy or maybe even a dry time, keep the faith and continue to be who God would have you be.  Stay full of gratitude and don't forget the times God's seen you through and that He'll be faithful to do it again.  Press through with faith letting God sustain, strengthen and see you through to better days, greater purpose, blessings, favor, victory, promotion and all the good things He has in store for your life---which actually may be closer than you think! Today remember, God is with you and "this too soon shall pass".

"For you are God's own handiwork..."

We've all experienced it or maybe even done it ourselves in making comparisons of ourselves to others.  People with curly hair wish they had straight.  People with straight hair wish they had curly.  Brunettes often want to be blonde and blondes often want to be brunette.  People with thin hair wish it were thicker and those with thick hair often wish it were thinner.  People with a small frame wish they were bigger and sometimes people with a larger frame wish they were smaller.  Tall people often wish they were a little shorter, and shorter people often wish  they were taller....and on and on.  It often happens as well in benchmarking our own progress in how we are doing in life and in school, college or our careers, comparing ourselves to the "Jones".  If only I had a better job, bigger house, a certain car, made more money, made better grades, was as smart as ______, was as fit as ________, had a family unit like ______, had that position, etc.  It can also happen from a spiritual perspective comparing our own relationship with God to others.  Well they must be closer to God because they always seem to get the right answers, breaks, It's easy to get trapped into making comparisons of ourselves to others.

"Comparing our lives and ourselves with other people is unfair---to them and to us.  It's unfair to them because if we become jealous of what they have, what they know or how they look, etc., we can start to resent them.  Then, we can no longer appreciate them or ourselves as the wonderful people God made each of us to be.

God has an individual plan for each of us.  His plan for you is greater than you could possibly imagine.  Stop looking at and comparing His plans for others to yourself, so that you can walk in the plans He has for you and receive the blessing they bring."

The WISDOM to know...

Wis•dom: 1) The quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise. 2) The soundness of an action or decision with regard to the application of such experience, knowledge, and good judgment.

"If any of you lacks wisdom you should ask God who gives it generously without finding fault..."

"Happy (blessed, fortunate, enviable) is the man who finds skillful and Godly Wisdom, and the man who gets understanding [drawing it forth from God’s Word and life’s experiences]."

"The complexities of life teach us wisdom. Becoming wise eases the many pitfalls in our path."

When you pray wisdom, do you really mean it or is it just a routine, go-to, memorized prayer that you utter without any thought of what it means? Today, let asking for God's wisdom bring about the guidance, direction, and knowledge you need to move forward to God's best for your life, being the best He'd have you be, making the right choices, taking the right actions and guide you away from the things that may be hindering you from doing so!

God grant me the serenity to ACCEPT the things I cannot change, the COURAGE to CHANGE the things I can and the WISDOM to know the difference!

Are you thoughts in-line with the way God would have you think?

"Do not be conformed to this world, this age, fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs; but, be transformed, changed, by the entire renewal of your mind by its new ideals and its new attitude, so that you may prove for yourselves what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect in His sight for you."

We've all seen the recent reports of the tragedy in Boston, other tragic events in our nation and most of us have seen tragedy close to home. It's hard to fathom how someone could plot and plan or carry out actions so damaging to others ultimately causing pain, heartache grief and suffering to so many. Each of these tragedies started with a thought.

One of the many positive aspects about coming into a relationship with God and continuing to grow in that relationship everyday, is that my thinking has changed. Negative mind sets have been removed, and each day I ask God's direction in my thoughts, actions and deeds. By His leading, I am aware when my thoughts are out of line with how God would have me think, His best for my life and who He'd have me be, and can take action. allowing God to help me get them back on the right track.

"As our minds are renewed...our thinking will change. Then, day by day, Godly boundaries around our thoughts will be established and reinforced. These limits will not only keep out the deceptions of the enemy; but, help you live a more enjoyable, Godly life."

Right thoughts equal right words, actions and deeds. Today, let God direct your thinking and free you from negative mindsets that may be holding you back from God's best or leading your down a path of destruction. Today let right thoughts produce right words actions and deeds so that you can be more of who God would have you be, carrying yourself the way He'd have you, and treating others the way He'd have you as He guides you into His best and greater purpose for your life!

Take it to God instead of taking it out on others

" Keeping strife out of your life is a vital key to living and enjoying the abundant life God has in store. "

We all have frustrations in life from time to time. Something doesn't go the way we think it should. Life can hit us blindsided by tragedy or something seemingly so unfair that we can almost be taken to our knees. Maybe someone treats us in a manner which seems unjustified or wrongs us seemingly without good reason by word, action or deed.

Whatever the case maybe strife is not a good thing. It isn't God's best for any of us. We have no control over others who may be venting or taking our their stress, frustrations or things going on in their life out on us; but, with God's help we do have control over ourselves and how we respond---to be, carry and conduct ourselves the way He'd have us. We know what that means by the guiding of His Spirit in our life.

Today, stay on guard against strife in your life and don't allow it to creep in and shut you off from the sunlight of God's spirit. Don't let others "stuff" and negative attitudes weight you down.  Make a decision to walk in love and peace. Turn a kind word when it's unexpected and turn over situations that could involve strife to God.  Be who you need to be and let Him do the rest. You don't have to wait and be asked to walk in love and forgiveness, you can pay it forward today and in doing so live freely at peace in your own life and in your relationship with others and your Creator. When you focus more on loving people than proving your point God takes notice and will bless and reward your efforts to keep peace at the forefront or your life and your relationships. Today, dealing with some strife?  Take it to God instead of taking it out on someone else!

Remove the LABELS that LIMIT !

" I have seen that everything human has its limits and end no matter how extensive, noble and excellent; but, with God, there are no limits yet only endless possibilities! "

Most of us have been to a conference, seminar or event in which we are asked to write our name on a label and wear it so that others know who we are.  It's called a label.  What about the other labels in life, labels people try to put on us as they judge us or make an assessment of us often without knowing all the details and trying to figure us out?  Being in the position I'm in and the work that I do, I see and meet all kinds of people and situations.  We see people all the time who have held onto things (labels) that have attached to them throughout their life.  Maybe it was a parent who told them they weren't good enough, maybe it was a catastrophic event that happened to them at no fault of their own, and now they feel less than and have low self esteem (labels).  Maybe it's gossip, untruths, and unfair things people have spoken over them that can bring people down if allowed (labels).

"We serve a supernatural God!  He is not limited by your education, background, upbringing and He's not moved by negative things people have spoken over you (other than to uphold and protect you).  He's not frantically trying to figure out how to get you to your destiny or how to work out the problems up ahead---He already has the solution blue printed.  He knows from the end to the beginning and vice versa.  People may have tried to push you down; but if you'll just remove those labels, not let them attach to you and get into agreement with God, He will push you up and take you higher where you could not go on your own.  You don't have to figure it all out, all He asks is that you believe.  Believe all things are possible, that God can take you from the back to the front, and open the right doors for you."

Today, don't let negative labels attach to you and hold you down.  Get rid of them!  Remember with God there are no limits.  Get in step with Him and live your life without limits too!

" As a man thinks in His heart, so is He! "

If you're down on yourself, feeling less than or that you've failed due to a shortcoming or maybe you're overwhelmed by things you're facing, turn it over to God and let God help raise your self-image.  Today, see yourself as God see's you---a winner, not a sinner!  It's His grace that makes that possible!

God's got you and the things that concern you!

Often in seasons of darkness and dry times it seems when walking through those situations that life is always going to be that way. Whether a day, a week or a month, sometimes when we face back to back life challenges we may feel like " OK God what next? Can I just get a minute to breathe." Believe me I've been there and I understand.

Just because things are the way they are in your life today doesn't meant they'll be that way tomorrow, next week or next year. We all go through seasons in which it seems life can be challenging and gray days come; but, take heart, the darkest is always before the dawn and the sun will shine again.

No matter where you are today, be encouraged that God is with you and if your going through a difficult time, it won't last forever and God will be faithful to see you through. Keep a good attitude and fight the good fight of faith. Don't let the enemy bring discouragement or cause you to quit. If you'll continue to be who God would have you be during these times, you'll wake one day and realize that the sun is shining again, God has seen you through and you've had spiritual growth in walking through the gray days. Today, be encouraged because in the blink of an eye God can turn your situation around and you'll find yourself promoted, stronger and further along in the greater purpose He has for your life; not to mention, what you've gone through will not be in vain as God may use your situation to help someone else in the future. There's nothing like having someone to share their experience in walking through a similar situation and sharing how they got through it and came out better, stronger and more spiritually sound. Today, keep the faith and remember God's got you and the things the concern you.

Because of Whose you are!

Because of whose you are:

- Do not fear:
"I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you.  I will uphold you with my right hand."

- He will not withhold good things from you:
"For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows present grace and favor and future glory, honor, splendor and heavenly bliss!  No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."

- You are Blessed:
"Blessed, happy and fortunate is the man who trusts in God, learning and believing on Him, committing all and confidently look to Him, without fear or misgiving."

Today, take heart in knowing that you are a child of the most High God and He wants to pour out His favor and blessings on you---"not because of who you are; but, because of whose you are."  Don't let anything come between your relationship with Him---no person, place or thing.  It just simply not worth it!  Follow His lead and guidance for your life, being who you feel He'd have you be.  With each and every new day you are gifted, take Him up on His offer to live and enjoy your best life knowing that you have His favor surrounding you and that favor will bring you to a place of peace, hope and victory like you've never experienced before!

Bloom where you're planted.

" Whoever can be trusted with very little also can be trusted with much..."

If you want to see God open up new doors, the key is to bloom where your planted. You can't wait till everything gets better before you decide to have a good attitude. You have to be the best that you can be right where you are. When you bloom where your planted, you're allowing God to work in you, and He will be faithful to complete what He's started in you.

Today, bloom where you're planted and let God do His perfect work in you and take you to new levels of promotion and increase!

"... His favor lasts a lifetime ... "

Favor, defined:  an attitude of approval or liking; the showing of approval or preference for.

What about God's favor?  Are you currently experiencing it in your own life?  Are you having those experiences in which you know beyond a shadow of a doubt God's hand is on your life and He's worked something out for you or better yet, did for you what you couldn't do for yourself?

Success in this life isn't necessarily about how popular, influential, or educated one is.  Success is also about living a life of excellence in obedience to God---living our lives, and carrying ourselves the way we know and feel He would have us. When we step out in Faith and follow God's lead, doing what we feel He has put in front of us to do, what He has called us to do, His favor can be perceived as surrounding us like a shield.  When we have His favor, we have everything, and we have an advantage for success.

Today, are you experiencing God's favor, or is there something in your life that's blocking you off from the sunlight of His spirit, His favor, His best for your life?  There's a fix for that---it's called surrender.  Today, take heart and courage in knowing that God's favor opens the right doors, brings good breaks, and can cause you to accomplish what you could not on your own and ultimately take you to places you never dreamed or ever imagined possible.

Fear NOT!

"Faith looks fear in the eye and says get out of the way I've got things to do."

Does this quote describe your faith?  Does it describe your ability to exercise your faith over your fears.  "Fear is exaggerated.  It can be overwhelming.  It always takes you to the worse-case scenario (which most of the time will not happen).  It's like a fog that clouds the truth.  It can freeze you in your steps and try to make you stumble, attempting to block your vision and keep you from seeing the plan God has on the road up ahead for you and pressing on to the good things He has in store for your life.

"God has not given us the spirit of fear; but, power, love and sound mind."  Amen!!!  Today, if you find yourself a little fearful, check your faith and remember that God's not brought you this far to drop you, turn His back on you or fail you now.  Whatever situation or circumstance that has caused fear to well up inside of you, give it over to God and ask for His protection, care and guidance.  He has given each of us a portion of faith to possess and great things can be accomplished with even the tiniest measure of faith.  Today, no matter how great or small your faith, put it into action, watch your fears fall to the wayside, and watch good things unfold in your life as you continue to move forward into the greater purpose He has in store for your life!

Doubting ______ (should you fill your name in the blank?)

" God is faithful, reliable, trustworthy, and therefore, He can be depended on. "

In the early days of elementary school we are taught basics that stay with us for life. 1+1=2, multiplication tables, the vowels AEIOU & sometimes Y --- I before E except after C.  As we grow older and continue our education curriculum more knowledge is gained moving through junior high, high school and maybe even college or trade school.  As we begin our first jobs and start to gain experience that's added to our knowledge base that grows our understanding of a business processes, a specialized career, trade, etc.  When completing a job application for employment, employers will ask not only about education; but, also experience.  Experience comes in time and often we may not fully understand something until we walk through the experience hands on.

Such it is in life, understanding comes after walking through an experience. As a result of walking through experiences and learning that we can trust God and we experience His faithfulness, our faith grows and is increased.

" You can grow in your confidence level to the point where ' knowing ' is even better than ' hearing '. You may not know what to do, but it is sufficient to know the one who does know---God.  Everyone likes specific direction; however, when you don’t have it, knowing God is faithful and ever true and that He has promised to be with us always, it is comforting and keeps us stable when our patience is tried waiting until His timing, guidance and direction or provision comes to illuminate the situation. "

" We gain faith by our own experience of God's power in our lives. The constant, persistent recognition of God's spirit in all our personal relationships, the ever accumulating weight of evidence in support of God's guidance, the numberless instances in which seeming chance or wonderful coincidence can be traced to God's purpose in my life. All these things gradually engender a feeling of wonder, humility, and gratitude to God. These in turn are followed by a more sure and abiding faith in Him and His purposes. "

Today, wherever you are in life and what ever your walking through, remember God's faithfulness in your life and know if God's been faithful to see you though before, He'll do it again.  Remember understanding often comes after walking through an experience.  You may be going through one of those times right now.  Don't give up before the miracle, breakthrough or answer unfolds; but, wait with faith and expectancy knowing that if He's come through for you before, He can be depended on to do it again!  Today, let understanding after the experience build your faith, and prepare you for good things God has in store as His divine purpose for you life continues to unfold and he continues to shape and mold you into who He'd have you be.

When we don't get our way.

"God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God and God dwells and continues in Him."

Sometimes, people just don't do what we'd like them too.  Sometimes things just don't work out the way we hoped and planned.  Sometimes, things just don't go our way.  Sometimes, we ourselves don't do what others may want us to.  So what about when we don't get our way, what about when people treat us poorly because we didn't do what they wanted---What about it?

Each and every day is a gift from God.  His love abounds in and around us.  As we work and grow to continue moving forward in our lives spiritually, we find security in our relationship with Him and in His love that helps us to:   A)  Make the right choices, even if others don't like them.  B)  Follow God's lead and direction  (even if others don't like it) knowing He will not lead us astray; but will take us into the better things He has in store.  C)  Love others where they are, even if we don't like, agree, or wouldn't live our lives or treat people the way they do.

If God has said no to something you really wanted, there is a reason, and if you only knew the pain and agony He may be preventing you from in the long run, you might be able to appreciate a "NO" answer more today; but that's where knowing because He loves us, He is with us and He leads us in the right direction comes into play.  That's where faith and trust become active, leading us to make the right choices, and do things the way we feel He'd have us regardless of the opinions of others and closing doors that we don't need to walk through---teaching us patience in the waiting process, knowing He has greater things in store.

God loves us....blah....blah...blah.  While I hope none of us feel that way, what does "God loves you" really mean to you?  Today, let God's love be more than something you've read about, heard about, or experimented with.  Let His love, dwell, and abide in you.  Let it be real, a living, breathing relationship, know that He doesn't run when life get's hard, and is on the front row celebrating our accomplishments with us---that He is always with us.  After all dwell means "to abide, to live in" it doesn't refer to visiting; it refers to staying and remaining!

No matter what's going on in and around you and your life.  Who's happy with you or not, who you're happy with or not.  Let God's love so permeate your life that in the grand scheme of things, you don't sweat the small stuff; but, stay attuned to God so that you can still be who you need to be with those around you and the best God would have you be in spite of and regardless of people, places, and things.  Today, let God's love be known to others by the way you carry yourself, live your life, and treat and respond to people.  It's amazing what a transformation can take place and what a new outlook on life can be gained when we truly come into a realization of what God's love for us really means and when we love others as God loves us and treat them the way we'd like to be treated.

Giving back

"Give, and it will be given to you."

What a simple concept.  Give and it will be given to you.  The principle of sowing and reaping.  Often people think when someone says give, it involves money; but, there are so many other ways that we can give and show God's love that are pleasing to Him and they don't always involve money.

"True happiness and fulfillment come when you give of your life in some way to others.  When you step out in faith and give, you open a door for God's hand of blessing to move on your behalf.  God has a specific plan for everyone of our lives and each of us has time, talents and resources available to help others in some way today.  His plan involves reaching out and touching other people with His love, mercy, and compassion."

Today, will you be open to giving back to others as God's leads?  When we are willing to do so selflessly without expecting anything in return---without a price tag, that's when we receive the biggest blessings.  It could be listening to a friend going through a difficult time and offering support or a shoulder, it could helping change a flat tire, or even something as simple as opening the door and helping an elderly lady with her groceries.  Today, there are so many ways you can give back and show God's love.  If you will do so, you'll find yourself not only being blessed; but, being a blessing in return!

Lean to take life as it comes!

" Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life ? "

"God has equipped us to handle life as it comes, which is why He tells us to only focus on today. He knows that if we spend time worrying about issues beyond our control, we will become tired and frustrated.

You don’t need to waste time trying to change and control things outside your power. Set your mind to what God has placed in front of you and let Him take care of the rest. " (borrowed)

Obstacle or stepping stone

"Consider is a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at your from all sides.  You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors.  So don't try to get out of anything prematurely.  Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way."

"Obstacles are simply opportunities for advancement---for growth.  If you'll do your part, God will take every obstacle that comes into your life and turn it into a stepping-stone that will take you to a place of higher honor and greater blessing!"

God doesn't make the terms hard for those who seek Him

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion?  Come to me.  Get away with me and you'll recover your life.  I'll show you how to take a real rest.  Walk with me and work with me---watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.  I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.  Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly....for my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

No matter where you are in life today or what you're going through, just because things are like they are today, doesn't mean they will be like they are tomorrow, or forever.  "God doesn't want you to go through life constantly struggling, always burdened down, or always fighting against something.  Yes, we know that trials and tribulations will come in this life.  There may be seasons that are more difficult than other; but we can't just settle where we are and accept that it's always going to be this way.  God wants to lead you to a good place in life, and remain in His provision and blessing."

If you feel like you're at your "wits end" with some things in your life, seek God's guidance not only for the situation you're going through; but for overall direction, guidance, and relief for your entire life.  You will find that it's not hard and "God doesn't make too hard terms for those who seek Him"; but, the key is that you do it.  He wants to be there for you no only during the difficult times; but also the times of celebration.  Today, seek God, His guidance, and His best for your life.  Cast your cares on Him, and let Him guide you into better days of happiness and joy and cause you to remain in His provision and blessing and His best for your life!

God's got your back.

" In the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling...You who sit in God's presence, spend the night in His shadow.  He rescues you from hidden traps....fear nothing....stand untouched.  God is your refuge, the God of your very home.  He has ordered his angels to guard you.  If you stumble, they will catch you. "

We've all seen celebrities on TV and our President with an entourage of security to keep them safe and help them get from point a to point b without harm.  Paparazzi, the media, and fans often press the envelope to snap that picture or get that autograph that in many cases will yield them tons of money.  Most of us can't relate to not being able to go out in public without a security team in place as we carry on our day.  That's not to say that we don't take precautions not to put ourselves in harms way, staying aware of our surroundings to keep ourselves, family and friends safe.

On a grander scale, in your day to day life, who has your back?  You may have friends and family that are loyal; but, from a spiritual perspective, as God navigates you throughout your day, do you have the faith in His protection and care or do you live in fear of the unknown?  Are you experiencing coincidences or His ordained divine appointments as He navigates you throughout your day getting you to the right places at the right time with the right people.

God has promised to be our protector, our shield, and our safe dwelling place.  Just as some people won't travel without a firearm, are you carrying God with you throughout every moment of every day or do you only take Him out of the box when you need something?  Do you have faith in His protection and care?  Are you sensitive to His lead that gets you from point a to point b and to the right place, meeting the right people and causing you to experience those divine appointments for greater good and purpose?  Are you relying on things Human for your protection and care or are you also relying on God's greater and grandeur protection and care?

Today, I'm reminded that God has my back and I have nothing to fear.  He has my best interest at heart and if I'll stay sensitive to His lead, He'll get me where I need to be safely at the right time and place and with His favor, continue to fulfill His greater purpose for my life.   Should life bring tragedy or misfortune along the journey, He will be there to sustain and support me.  Today, I'll take heart in knowing Almighty God, my Creator has my back and my best interest at heart and moreover, has good things in store for my life as He continues to unfold His greater purpose for my life!

Spring clean the Strife out of your life.

"It is an honor for a person to cease from strife; but every fool quarrels."

We've all probably met people who seem to like nothing more than a good dose of gossip, strife, drama, and quarrelling.  Seems they thrive on it.  I can't imagine today living my life that way---it's not for me.  I've seen small disagreements between friends and family members bring strife and cause relationships to be strained and even sometimes severed with those involved often not speaking for years following.  In the end the issue in which the overall disagreement was over most of the time is really trivial.  There was a time in which strife was an active ingredient of my life; but, not today.  I'm grateful to say God has freed me from that and has given me the utmost respect and desire to work and maintain peace in my life, home, and in my relationships with friends, family, co-workers and acquaintances as best I can.

"Too often, people fall into the trap of strife.  Someone says something that rubs another the wrong way, and before you know it there is tension, quarrelling and division.  Strife opens the door to every evil work of the enemy.  It's the enemy's greatest trap to keep people at odds with each other and from living in victory; but, you don't have to fall into the trap of strife, you can rise above it!

There's a lot of value in living a peaceful life.  You don't have to to attend every fight you're invited too.  "Blessed are the peacemakers"!  Pick and choose your battles wisely.  Today, spring clean the strife out of your life, be a peacemaker and enjoy the benefits that come in doing so as God continues to mold you into who He'd have you be and takes you into the greater purpose He has in store for your life!

Why worry when you can have peace?

"Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"

"Is there something that you are worrying about today?  To worry means to allow something to revolve in your mind over and over again.  God doesn't want you to live worried or anxious about anything.  He knows that worry steals your peace and joy.  It affects every area of your life.

The good news is that God has promised that you can have victory over worry.  It starts by making the choice to trust in Him.  When you cast your cares on Him, He will give you peace!"  (borrowed)

"Before you were ever formed in your mother's womb, I saw you and approved you."

You are approved by Almighty God. Created in His image to fulfill the greater purpose He has for your life---to live and be who He'd have you be.

God approves you unconditionally. No matter how many weaknesses you may think you have today, no matter how many times you fall, dust yourself off, get right back up, hold your help up high and move forward---God's cheering you on! Don't allow the enemy to bring strife into your life by deceiving you into thinking you are not good enough. If your striving to hard for perfection and you think that's what's required to have a relationship with Him, lighten up! No one is perfect and God does't require perfection!"

Experiencing Peace & God's best

If you will do your best to be at peace with your fellowman, even if they don't receive it, God will honor you and that peace will come back to you full fold!

So it is with God, are you receiving what He has for you---His peace, love, tender mercies and blessings? His best for your life? Are you to busy for Him? "Don't hold on to earth's treasures so firmly that your hands are too occupied to clasp God's hands as He holds them out to you in love."

Today may the peace of God that passes all understanding reign in my life and my relationships. May I never send God a message that worldly possession or things I have going on in the busy-ness of day to day life are more important than my relationship with Him and what He has for me---His best for my life.

Be content, bloom where you're planted, and find God's blessings unfolding in your life.

"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all."

"It's easy to get stuck in the trap of thinking that if only your circumstances would just change, then life would be better.  You might think, 'If I got a new job or a new house or had better friends, then I would really be happy.'  God wants to change us to be all we can be in Him and who He'd have us be before He changes our circumstances."

Bloom where you're planted.  Tend to what God has placed in your hands and deal with what's right before you in lieu of worrying about tomorrow and the things you have no control over or can't change. If you will focus on what you have instead of what you don't have, you'll find God blessing you, multiplying you and leading you forward into the greater purpose He has for your life.  Allow God to change you into who He'd have you be, find contentment with what He's blessed you with and you will find through the process things getting better in and around you and your life!

Are you keeping it simple?

"But he's already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women.  It's quite SIMPLE:  Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, and don't take yourself too seriously---take God seriously."

At various times in my life, I used to make things very complicated.  I could overcomplicate taking out the trash, cleaning the house, washing the car, job tasks at work, or the simplest of things in day to day life.  It caused me great stress and also caused me to beat myself up when I didn't complete a task to what I thought to be perfect.  God doesn't require perfection.

As I continue to grow in my relationship with God, I'm learning more and more the easier we make things on ourselves, relying on God for guidance in day to day life, the smoother things seem the flow, the less stress we experience, and the easier it is to live life happy, joyous and free.  It doesn't mean that we don't do our best at what we do, it just means that we lighten up doing it.  "God wants our relationships and communication with Him to be simple." He doesn't require complicated formulas and perfection to have an active, daily, growing spiritual relationship with Him.  He doesn't require eloquent prayers in order for them to be heard.  He just want us to do it whether its bowed down on our knees, driving down the road, whispering a prayer at work, or praying reverently during a set quiet time or or a weekly worship setting.

Today, let keeping it simple be an active part of you every day life and your relationship with God and find yourself less stressed, a little closer to God, a little better version of you each day---and a whole lot happier, joyful, and free!

Is your work the best it can be?

"Roll your works upon the Lord, commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and, so shall your plans be established and succeed."

Most of us work.  Some pull 9 to 5er's, others have their own business, some may be in ministry or a housewife while others may volunteer.  Some love their jobs while others may not.  It's often easy after some time in the same position to get burned out and go through the motions, barely getting the job done to get a paycheck.

Do you wake each day, committing your work to Him, asking for His help and guidance to get through the day, asking Him to help you be your best at what you do?  Maybe you've been looking for a promotion to come through for you; but, no doors have opened and you're losing patience in what you feel to be a dead end job.  Could it be that God wants you to be your best in the position you're in before He opens the doors for promotion or a new position?

Today, whether your job is taking out the trash, being a housewife, or you're a CEO of a major corporation, commit your work to God, let Him help you be your best at every fine detail of what you do and reap the benefits of His greater plans for a successful life unfold in ways that you may have never imagined!

Is your vision one of Victory?

"Behold I am doing a new thing.  Can you not perceive it?"

We've all heard the expression "out with the old and in with the new".  Little did I know when I started my new journey with God a few years ago, how much old needed to be removed to make room for the "new" things God had for me.  Old mindsets, old habits, old behaviors, old ways of doing things, on and on, kept me bound in pain and misery for years and affected those around me more than I realized.  I had to let God help me get rid of the old to make room for the new and I'm so grateful I did.

"Do you have a vision of victory for your life?  Do you perceive victory in your every step?  Are you living each day filled with faith and expectancy?  God wants to do new things in your life.  Today, let go of the old (so that you can make room to fully receive the new) and take hold of the new things God has in store for you!"

When the going gets tough, the tough, with Gods help, get going!

"Anyone who meets a challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is fortunate for such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life."

We all at times in life go through things we don't understand.  In growing spiritually with my Creator, I've learned there are things that happen in life I will never understand, so, why squander hours in the "Why's" that happen in life?  I've seen God so many times in these situations show up, and work bringing good in the situation on the other side of bad---in ways I never imagined.  On the other side of every painful thing in life I've walked through, I've had growth in my own life.

"When you go through things you don't understand, it is not the end.  Nothing is wasted in God's economy or lost in His kingdom.  If you will let go of what didn't work out, let go of the hurts and pains, God will give birth to more in the future than you've lost in the past."

Today, take heart in knowing that if something didn't work out the way you planned or if something has happened that's left you shaking your head, God is diligently working behind the scenes, and if you'll be faithful to be who you need to be through the situation, God will be who He is, faithful without question, and take you to greater places of victory and blessing in your life!
