Let The Peace of God Reign Supreme in Your Life!

"My Peace I give to you…"

Once you've had and developed a relationship with God and you begin to experience His peace, serenity and joy in your life, you value it.  It's a precious gift that sometimes takes work to maintain; but, once you've experienced God's peace in your life, you'll protect it, and not let anything or anyone take it away from you.  There's nothing like peace in your life, your spirit, in your home, with God and your fellowman.

Everyone may not appreciate this priceless gift.  There are those who seem to thrive daily on drama, holding grudges and honestly living miserable lives.  I'm so glad God has freed me from that.

God intends for His children to live in peace despite what may be going on around them at the time. "Stop allowing yourselves to be anxious, worried, and upset", and today, let the Peace of God reign supreme in your life.

Peace, Serenity, Strength & Emotional Stability

When we continue to turn our will and life over to God, the serenity that results creates a reality of inner peace and strength---emotional stability.  We are secure in our walk with God regardless of what others are doing, we can remain emotionally stable because our dependence is on God, not man.  It  helps to remember “courage is fear that has said its prayers.”

"I am leading you along a way that is uniquely right for you. The closer to Me you grow, the more fully you become your true self—the one I designed you to be. Because you are one of a kind, the path you are traveling with Me diverges increasingly from that of other people. However, in My mysterious wisdom and ways, I enable you to follow this solitary path, crowning you with blessings, success and the good things I have in store for you."

God is always near!

"Although unseen, God is always near to those who believe in Him and trust Him and depend on Him for the strength to meet the challenges of life. Although veiled from mortal sight, the God and His power  is always available to us whenever we humbly ask for it. The feeling that God is with us should not depend on any passing mood of ours; we should try to be always conscious of His power and love in our lives."

"I am your refuge and strength, an ever-present Help in trouble. Therefore, you don’t need to be afraid of anything—not even cataclysmic circumstances. The media are increasingly devoted to fear-inducing subject matter: terrorism, serial killers, environmental catastrophes. If you focus on such dangers and forget that I am your Refuge in all circumstances, you will become increasingly fearful.  Every day I manifest My grace in countless places and situations, but the media take no notice. I shower not only blessings but also outright miracles on your planet."

"As you grow closer to Me, I open your eyes to see more and more of My Presence all around you. Things that most people hardly notice, like shifting shades of sunlight, fill you with heart-bursting Joy. You have eyes that see and ears that hear, so proclaim My abiding Presence in the world."

" I Am Preparing You! "

" I am preparing you for what is on the road ahead, just around the bend. Take time to be still in My Presence so that I can strengthen you. The busier you become, the more you need this time apart with Me. So many people think that time spent with Me is a luxury they cannot afford. As a result, they live and work in their own strength—until that becomes depleted. Then they either cry out to Me for help or turn away in bitterness.

How much better it is to walk close to Me, depending on My strength and trusting Me in every situation. If you live in this way, you will do less; but, accomplish far more. Your unhurried pace of living will stand out in this rush-crazed age. Some people may deem you lazy, but many more will be blessed by your peacefulness. Walk in the Light with Me, and you will reflect Me to the watching world. "

"Bend so you will not Break!"

"Readily adjust yourself to [people, things], and, if possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."

We've all probably seen people who have to have their way or else.  That may have been us at times in the past.  It used to be me before God began to work in my life.  Here is a quote that explains that type of selfish and self centered behavior---"I had to have my own way. I wasn't adaptable. I wanted everyone else to adapt to me. Of course, that resulted in more strife and stress. "

Learning to be flexible and easy going has taken time; but, it is possible with God's help, and it definitely lowers your stress level and strife with others "I've now learned to 'bend so I don't break.'  It's not always easy on the flesh to give in and do things differently than I had planned; but it's easier than being upset and miserable."

"If you want to have peace in your relationships, you will need to be willing to be flexible. Pushing for your own way all the time will only hurt and offend those around you; but, when you take to heart the encouragement to 'live at peace with everyone,' God will see your efforts and fill your relationships and life with His joy and peace!"  Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with ME!

Gifts

"And they presented unto Him gifts--- gold, frankincense, and myrrh."

"Bring your gifts of gold---your money and material possessions---what you have. Bring your frankincense ---the consecration of your life to Him, to a worthy cause and to the great things and greater purpose  God has in store for your life. Bring your myrrh---your sympathy, understanding, kindness, love and help. Today, lay them all at the feet of God and let Him have full use of them---your time, talents, treasures---your life and let Him use you and take you to places you never dreamed!"

God's Peace

"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you….Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

God wants us to enjoy Peace in our lives.  I didn’t fully understand the beauty of it until I began to experience it to the fullest a few years ago---in my home and in my life.  It's something I work hard to maintain now, with God's help, in my own life and in my home and now that I've realized the pricelessness of it, I refuse to let anything or anyone steal my peace, joy  and happiness.

"Do whatever you can to maintain peace in your life and in your home because it dramatically affects the anointing and power of God that rests on your life. Keep strife out of your life and keep God in it.  No peace, no power! Know peace, know power!"

"God's Peace that passes all understanding!"

HOPE, FAITH & GOD'S FAVOR!

"Good things begin to happen to you when you rejoice in the Hope and Faith of experiencing God's favor on a regular basis."

We access the favor of God by Faith.. We can increase in that favor and experience God's promises come true in our lives. Even if you don’t see those things in your life now, you can rejoice and put your Hope in God, knowing that they will come.  "I still believe in Your Faithfulness.  Even if I don't see, I still believe."  Faith is not something you think; it's not necessarily something you feel, other than the relief that comes in turning things over to God in Faith knowing He will work things out for your good.  It's not something you say. Faith is more than that, it will show up in how you behave and live your life.  Faith is something you do!  "Faith without works is dead."   "Faith and works, works and Faith, fit together hand in glove."

What about Hope?  Hope --- "the happy anticipation of good things." A close relative of Faith working together, hand in hand in our lives.  When we anticipate the goodness of God in our lives, paired with Faith and Hope, it opens the door to greater happiness and for God to bestow His best plans and pour His blessings and favor into our lives!  It's difficult  to be happy if you don't have Hope and Faith.  When God comes into our lives,  everything starts taking on new meaning, new purpose, new significance and new value!  A new attitude and outlook on life takes shape.  The more Hope and Faith you have in God, the happier you become. Hope believes everything is going to turn out all right.  It's positive!

Today, fully enjoy your everyday  life!  Savor every moment God gifts you.  Maintain a good Faith filled Hopeful attitude. God is positive, and He wants positive things to happen to each of us.  His plans for us are good, so fill yourself with His Hope today, pair it with Faith, and live with the happy anticipation of the good things God has in store for your life---the good things that are happening, on the way or will come to pass at exactly the right time and place and with the right people He puts in your path!

SOVEREIGN

"God whatever comes my way I will trust you!"

This is one of those things that's often easier said than done.  You can probably relate at some point in your life. Easy when all seems to be going good.  Sometimes difficult when unexpected life challenges hit.  The loss of a job, loss of a loved one or friend tragically, a marriage fallen apart, loss of a relationship that you thought was "the one", loss of a friendship that you thought would always be in tact, a fire that destroys your home, diagnosis of a deemed terminal medical condition of you, a loved one or even worse one of your children, accidents, suicides, hate crimes, bigotry, robberies, theft, acts of nature that wipe out an entire community, addiction, violence, homelessness, and on and on.

American novelist Ernest Hemingway wrote, “The world breaks everyone and afterward many are stronger at the broken places.”  So it can be in finding a  relationship with God.  When the chips are down, the rubber meets the road, the lights go down, your all alone, feel like everyone has turned their back to you and feel like all hope may be lost---like our bodies are ships torn and battered from weathering a brutal storm at sea and somehow have made it to port broken and in need of repair.  That's the exact place that God can begin.  He can pick up the broken pieces of our lives, the regrets, shortcomings, failures and baggage, put everything back together and make us new, stronger and better than ever.  It's often in these times that we make a beginning to learn complete and total trust on God and His Grace---realizing there's no where else to turn and He really is the best option.  Sometimes it takes attempts at going it alone, running, trying to do things on our own self-will and then seeing what a mess we've made of things and we begin to feel broken, in need of repair, lost, hopeless  and saying "What now ?"

When we've hit our heads against the same brick wall over and over and we've insanely continued doing things over and over knowing it's not for our good, expecting different results, and we get the same old things or often worse---"self will run riot."  Sometimes it's at our lowest points in life that we finally learn true dependence on God and make a decision to turn our will and lives over to His care, seeking His protection, care and direction for our lives and make a new beginning after trying everything else.  We gradually start to see Him through a glimmer of faith and His grace begins to work in our lives, our faith builds and He bit by bit, piece by piece intricately takes the broken pieces, the things that were meant to harm or destroy us and turns them around for our good.  I've heard people say that those times in their past that led them into a deep and meaningful relationship with God are often now their greatest asset.  Had it not been for those times in life, they wouldn't have the life and relationship with God they do today and couldn't be more grateful.  They are happy, joyous and free.  They are in places and positions in life they never dreamed possible before.  Life has greater purpose, God's presence guides and directs them, His favor is upon then and His spirit, protection and care feels like a covering over their very being from the inside out.  I can relate!

Today, be bold and strong, for know God your Father is on the scene!  You are His child.  He's working behind the scenes on your behalf.  He wants to help.  He has good plans for your life.  He wants to see you reach and exceed your full potential and the greater purpose and plan He has in store for you!  He's not mad at you and wants to take you to places you never thought possible in life.  "Sovereign in my greatest joy.    Sovereign in deepest cry---with me in the calm, with me in storm---with me at the dark, with me in the dawn.  In His everlasting arms, all the pieces of my life, from beginning to the end, I can trust you.  In Your never failing love, You work everything for good.  God whatever comes my way I will trust you."

HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!!

"God is bigger than your circumstances, problems, people, places and things!"

"Many people today waste time and energy talking about, magnifying and being consumed and focused on their problems and feeling sorry for themselves. That’s because they are magnifying their circumstances in their own mind and heart; but, when you start magnifying God by talking about Him and worshiping Him, you are making Him the main priority in your life and opening the door for Him to move on your behalf."

Self-pity is no one's friend!  I know, I've been there.  You may say; "but, you don't know how bad it is and what I'm going through."  Every time I've felt that way, God has shown me someone who has it so much worse and God suddenly filled me with gratitude!  Decide that no matter what’s going on in life around you, to magnify your God. Talk about His goodness. Talk about His faithfulness. Declare that He is working behind the scenes on your behalf.  Declare His favor in your life and over your circumstances.  Exalt His name today, fully give him your problems and circumstances.  Let Him carry your load!   Lift Him up and see His hand of blessing in every area of your life!

Today, what's bigger in your life?  God or your circumstances?  "How great is our God!"  Today tell your problems how big your God is in faith knowing  He is working behind the scenes to bring you through and out better, stronger, wiser and closer to Him.  He's the God who takes a "mess and makes a message out of it!"  He makes "beauty out of ashes".  Today, expect it from Him and let Him do the same in your life!

"And God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need … "

What are You Expecting from God?

"Surely only goodness, mercy, and God's unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life…"

What are you expecting from God?  Have you given up on Him because you think He doesn't hear your prayers or maybe you've been praying for that breakthrough in your life and it hasn't come yet.

God's plans for you are good.  I learned this the hard way and after seeing Him prove Himself time and time again in my life be so faithful; but, it wasn't always on my timetable and it didn't always happen when I wanted it too; but ,  I can say from experience, He's never late, He hears our prayers and will provide according to His perfect plan for our lives.

Many times when I was close to giving up hope, suddenly everything changed, God provided the answers and outcomes I needed, not always the way I thought; but, so many times better than I imagined.  If I had gotten what I thought was best for my life, I would have sold myself short compared to what He so faithfully provided.

Today, know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God has good plans for your life.  Keep praying, keep the faith and don't give up hope because just about the time you think He's not going to answer, in the blink of an eye, He can turn your whole situation around.  Today, expect God's best and be patient in waiting for it.  It will come to pass and you may be like me---amazed at the outcomes He provides.

The Sun Will Shine Again!

"Weeping may endure for a night; but, joy comes in the morning!"

Are you like me, you'd rather have sunny days filled with sunshine days of overcast, rainy weather? It's proven that Vitamin D from the sun makes us feel better in general.  In any regard we don't always get the sun shinny days as the earth needs rain to nourish the plants, trees, gardens, etc.  The rainy overcast days help us look forward to the day in which the sun will shine again and appreciate these days.

So it is with life.  Even on the most beautiful of days life can hit us with unexpected challenges or on the flip-side we can get the news, the answers to the prayers we've been praying for.  In any regard the dark rainy dreary days and times in our lives help us look forward to the day that the sun will shine again.  Maybe you've been going through something in your life that has caused you to have the mentality that your prayers are never gonna be answered or that God isn't hearing them.  Be not dismayed for He does hear and answer.  Maybe not on our timeline or the way we think; but, He hears and answers according to His perfect plan and for our best.

"Weeping may endure for the night; but, joy comes in the morning."  If that's you, don't lose your faith and hope in God.  It's the tough times in life that make us appreciate the days we get good news or a good report, just as the dark rainy days  make us appreciate the Sunshine.  Don't give up.  Look forward with faith to God's answers that are on the way.  Lean on Him and let Him see you through.  God hears and answers and suddenly, in the blink of an eye your whole world, and situation can turn around for the better.  Today, if you feel like you've been going through back to back rainy days or days filled with life's challenges, know that God is working behind the scenes to bring you out stronger and better.  Know that the sun, His sun, will shine again in your life and it may be closer than you think!  "God will wipe away your tears."  Remember today, He has great plans for your life and He will be faithful to fulfill those plans if you will trust Him to do so and not give up before the miracle happens!

Nothing is Wasted in God's Economy!

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not lack."

"I know people who feel like they’ve wasted years of their lives because of poor choices. They spent years in a relationship that was toxic, years with an addiction, years at a job where they weren’t fulfilled. But you have to realize, nothing you have been through is ever wasted. Your past experiences, good and bad, have deposited something on the inside of you. Those challenges have sharpened you to help make you who you are today. When the enemy brings hardship into your life, God has a way of taking that experience and turning it around for your advantage. You may think you’ve hit a dead end, but if you’ll stay in faith, you will see God begin to open up a new route. He’ll put the right people in your path, the right opportunities, the right circumstances to move you forward toward the blessing God has in store for you!"

"Today, don’t focus on what’s happened in your past, focus on what God will do in your future. He wants to restore your soul and revive your dreams. Keep believing, keep expecting, keep hoping because God has a new route for your future," and nothing is wasted in God's economy!

What about others?

God places compassion within each one of us; but, it’s up to us to decide whether we close or open our heart to receive it. One thing that really keeps our hearts of compassion open is to seriously think about the needs of others---selflessly.  "The other day I was walking down the street when a woman ahead of me tripped and fell on the sidewalk. Two people walked by her as if she weren't there. Others just stared without offering help; I stopped to help, as did another person. We both waited for an ambulance to arrive and then we left. I couldn't believe what I had just witnessed: a human being was in need of assistance and most people walked on by." (anonymous)

How can we as God's children not be kind to the individuals we meet along our journey?  How can we not be of service, when service is needed?  How can we not love as God has instructed us to love "our neighbor as ourself?", treating others as we'd like to be treated?  How hard is it to take a moment out of our day and open the door for an elderly person, or a mother with children at the grocery store?  Small gestures of kindness go along way in showing God's love to others.  If or when we are in that position one day, we'll hope that others will show kindness to us.

We stand to lose a lot of blessings we never even know about simply because we fail to do for others what we would like to have done for us. We like to be blessed by others; but, do we take the initiative to unselfishly bless them first? Today, love with no price tag in even the smallest way.  You'll be a reflection of God's love to others.  God will see your efforts and bless you for it---as you reap what you sow.  Let us not live selfishly oblivious to the needs of others; but, open our hearts to receive God's compassion so that we can help others along life's journey.  Even making a small difference counts!   "If we do not give, we do not keep."  "When I receive today's gifts or kindness, I'll stop to be grateful and appreciate them!" Today, when God opens a door for me to show His love and kindness, I'll seize the opportunity and be blessed in doing so!

Life's Challenges Are Often Mere Stepping Stones To God's Greater Purpose For Your Life!

Life is full of things that try to push us down. We all face disappointments and setbacks. Maybe you received some bad news about your health, or perhaps a relationship didn’t work out. That was a setback. It’s easy to get discouraged or lose your enthusiasm or even be tempted to just settle where you are; but, if we’re going to see God’s best, we have to have a 'bounce back' mentality. That means when you get knocked down or one of life's challenges comes your way, you don’t stay down. You get back up again.  Every time adversity comes against you, it’s a setup for a comeback!

During a storm, hope gives us the ability to look at things as they are and still be confident that something better is coming. That makes hope a very powerful and important quality for you and me to have – especially in times of trouble. In fact, it’s really the foundation that our faith in God should be built on.

No one – not even God – can promise that we will never have to deal with disappointment or trouble; but, the important thing is that we never stop hoping. Maintaining a positive attitude and holding on to the hope we have in Him puts us in a position to see God’s miracle-working power.

Remember, as a believer---as God's child, His miracle working power lives on the inside of you. There is no challenge too difficult, no obstacle too high, no sickness, no disappointment, no person, nothing that can keep you from your God-given greater purpose for your life. If you stay in faith, then God will turn what was meant to be a stumbling block into a stepping stone, and you’ll move forward in strength, full of faith and victory to the next best things of greater purpose He has in store for your life.

“For though you may stumble and fall My Child, with My help, get back up, dust yourself off and continue moving forward in the greater purpose I have for your life…" "Life's challenges are often a setup for a comeback and merely a stepping stone to the next level of greater purpose and promotion  I have in store for your life."

Find a Fresh Dose of Peace & Serenity in Letting Go & Letting God!

Let us remember what does endure, what we value most, what counts in the long run, what's really important in life.  We can let go of all our anxieties and place them totally into the hands of God, and be refreshed. Letting go and letting God will provide a fresh dose of Peace and Serenity in our daily lives as we leave our cares, worries, anxieties and fears in the hands of our Creator, who "works all things to the good of those who love Him."

With our daily surrender to a God, comes Peace, Serenity and joy that makes all things new. We can take each day as a joyous sunrise-gift from God to use for Him and for other people. The past is gone, this day is ours and God desires us to live it to the fullest, blessed, obedient and filled with Peace and Serenity with His Spirit being at the core of who we are. Today, let go and let God and find a fresh dose Peace and Serenity in the process!

"Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you."

Compromise

Sometimes compromise is important. Sometimes it’s better to give in to someone else’s wishes in order to have fun as a group, family or as a couple, or for the benefits of the team.  Sometimes compromise is dangerous. I've been on both ends of the spectrum when compromise was ok and it made for an enjoyable time with friends and family and then there were times when I knew better; but, did it anyway and suffered the consequences of my actions,  hurting people I love dearly and left with a big mess to clean up.  I'm grateful that today I proceed with caution asking for God's guidance in each situation.  We need to guard against compromising our standards to gain the approval or love of someone else.  It's ok to say no.

Decide when you can, and when you cannot, compromise. If it’s not harmful and you are ambivalent about a decision, then compromise. If it could lead to breaking your values, hurting yourself or others and you know it's not in your best interest or God's best for your life, compromise isn’t a good idea.
Is it okay to have lunch with an attractive colleague if you’re married? Possibly; but, not if lunch will lead to dinner, which then leads to more time spent together, culminating in an affair.

Remember that what may be an acceptable compromise for one person might not be acceptable for you. Know your limits, know your values, let God lead you, listen to your God conscious---that still small voice within.  Ask God for wisdom and direction.   If the internal alarms are blaring, don't do it and be aware of the dangers that can come from compromising your own Godly values.  You'll reap the benefits of doing the next right thing or the mess of doing the next wrong thing and God will bless you for staying true to Him and His best greater purpose for your life!  Today, remember God cares about your well being and will never lead you astray; but, always into the better things He has in store for you if you will listen, be sensitive to His lead and follow it!

"If you need wisdom -- if you want to know what God wants you to do -- ask Him, and He will gladly tell you."

Out with the OLD. In with the NEW!

"After all the painful things that may have happened in your past have come and gone, God still wants you to enjoy every single day of your life. This won't happen, however, until you make up your mind to take hold of the abundant life He has for you.  Until then, the enemy will always try to take it away."  It could be by making you feel your not good enough, or by negative thoughts patterns like "how could God love me with the things I've done in the past?  How could I be good enough to have a relationship with God?"  There's nothing you can do to earn a relationship with God or His unfailing love.  It's a free gift and His grace and mercy forgives your past, puts the old behind and if you'll take hold, will renew your mind, bring you close to His side and give you and new attitude and outlook on life, and a new life in general; but,  you have to be willing to allow Him to.  Allow Him to put your past in the past and give you a fresh start in life and begin changing you to become who He'd have you be to fulfill the greater purpose He has in your life.

"The enemy comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I came that you may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)"   With the life He gives, you are a new creation. You don't have to allow the old things that happened in your past to continue to affect your new life in Him.  As a child of God, you can have your mind renewed daily according to God's promises. Things will change for the better when you live in the new nature that God has for you and gain a new attitude and outlook in life.

As God's children, we live under grace; but, grace is not an excuse to live the old life and willingly be disobedient to God.  Grace is the power to live a Godly life, with greater purpose and experience the blessings He has for you as you begin to become who He leads you to be and begin walking in the greater purpose He has for your life.  Today, take comfort and find strength in knowing the past is in the past and God wants to take you into a better life filled with purpose---happy, joyous and free, and experience the abundant blessings He has for you as you become more of who He'd have you be more each day.  Today, out with the old and in with the new---the newness made possible by our Creator, His grace, mercy and love.  Give Him a try---He  gives the power for living the life He'd have us  as we submit our lives daily to Him.  His grace empowers us to walk in obedience, be who he'd have us and experience the abundant life He has in store!  He won't disappoint; but, as you follow His lead for your life each day, He'll take you to the abundant life He has in store and places of abundance and blessing you can't even imagine.

People Pleasing or God Pleasing

"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works, that my soul knows well."

Taking other people's wants and needs into consideration is an important part of our relationships. We have responsibilities to friends and family and employers. We have a strong inner responsibility to be loving and caring; but, people pleasing backfires. Not only do others get annoyed with us, we often get annoyed as well when our efforts to please others do not work as we planned.  We find ourselves not being our true selves when we are constantly playing the role of a chameleon changing colors and who we are based on who we are around to please them.  In doing so, we get lost in the shuffle and lose sight of who we really are and who God is leading us to be.

When we do something for others with a price tag attached and an expectation of something in return, we set ourselves up to be let down, hurt, disappointed and often angry when we don't get in return what we expected.  Loving, giving and being of service to others without a price tag---selflessly, without expecting something in return is the way God wants us to give of ourselves.  We find more joy, peace and contentment when we do and often find ourselves blessed in many other ways for doing so.  In addition we find the people like us as we are, for who we are when we're just being ourselves.  The most comfortable people to be around are those who are considerate of the needs of others, give selflessly; but, ultimately love without a price tag, working to please themselves and most importantly working to please God first and foremost.  People who are comfortable in their own skin and are their true selves regardless of company they are in.

You are who God made you, "fearfully and wonderfully made" and who God is shaping you to be for greater purpose.  Today, be yourself, and who God would have you be and let the stress of people pleasing go---putting God pleasing first as foremost.  God will put the right people in your life and in the right company.  People who will build you up, not tear you down and you'll find that He made you the way you are for a reason.  Today, be blessed in being who you are and who God would have you be pleasing Him first and foremost and in doing so reap the benefits of walking in the greater purpose He has for your life.

"If we are ever going to develop an ability to hear from God and be led by His Spirit as a way of life, we have to stop listening to so many opinions from so many people and begin trusting the wisdom God deposits in our hearts. There is a time to receive good counsel; but, needing the approval of people can keep us out of the will of God.  Hear what others have to say; but,  listen to God."

Don't Mistake Kindness for Weakness

Some of the kindest people I know are some of the strongest.  They are pleasant to be around, happy, always willing to lift a helping hand or an encouraging word with a smile.  Often for some reason kindness is mistaken for weakness.  The people I know who are the kindest are also the strongest.  They are often the glue that holds things together in chaos or when tragedy strikes.  Their faith never waivers and they know in a nice way, how not to be take advantage of and when to say no.

So how can kind people be strong?  The common factor between the ones I know is a devout personal relationship with God.  They have an unwavering faith that can't be shaken and a hope that endures.  They are able to see the good on the other side of tragedy.

Maybe you've thought you can't be kind because you are afraid of being mistaken as weak?  I used to think so.  I've learned there's nothing further from the truth.  Kind, strong people are some of the most admired I know.  They know where their strength comes from.   They  are also some of the most blessed people I know.

Today, if you haven't already, try kindness.  It actually takes less effort to be kind and it can make such a difference in the lives of those God puts in our pathway each day.  Today, give kindness a try and receive the blessings and gifts that come in doing so.  Today,  "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me!"

Commit it to God and find Success!

"Commit to God whatever you do and your plans will succeed!"

Before Orville and Wilbur Wright ever flew the first airplane at Kitty Hawk, they BELIEVED flight was possible. They had a picture of it in their minds eye.  The first step in creating anything and fully seeing and realizing It coming to pass, the good things God has in store, the visions and dreams He's placed in our hearts, the greater plans and purpose  He has for our lives, is to be able to picture it in our minds and see it coming to pass through the eyes of Faith.  If we can picture it in Faith as a possibility, God will supply the grace, mercy, strength, ability, favor and skill we need to make it happen. He will line up the right people at the right time and open the right doors.  We do our part and we can be certain He'll do His!

"God will meet all your needs according to His riches in Glory…". Know today that you have been empowered and equipped to accomplish every dream that God has placed in your heart and the greater purpose He has for your life.  No matter what you face or how the circumstances may appear, God has promised to meet your needs.  If you are staying sensitive to Him and following His lead, you are headed toward the victory He has in store for every area of your life!

When you have an attitude of faith and expectancy, you open the door for God's power to move  on your behalf and show Himself strong in your life.  Decide today to focus on the goodness of God. Lift your eyes and heart to Him and begin to praise and thank Him with your words and deeds for what He's done, is doing and is gonna do.  As you lift your eyes, you'll see His help coming to help you live the victorious life He has in store for you!  “I will lift up my eyes to where my help comes from…My  help comes from God."

Today, take comfort, be glad, find Hope and gain renewed strength in the fact that God has given you the gift of another day---which is why it's called "the present."  "This is the day God has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it."  Be the best you can be, being who He'd have you be, keep your eyes of faith open, and rest assured that you can do all things "through Him who gives you strength."

New, New---All New!!!

Each day is a new opportunity to close the door on the past and experience a brand-new start.  Maybe you did your best yesterday; but, you felt like you fell short in some areas of your life, could have done better and your beating yourself up feeling that you fell short.  "There is no condemnation in Him."  Today is a new day and God's grace and mercies are new every morning.  The past is the past.  There is always a new day, a new month and a new year; but, in order for us to make the most of and use these new beginnings, we must make a decision to do so and let go of the past.  Every day He gives us a fresh start and sends a new batch of mercy and grace---it's up to is to decide to take advantage of these gifts He offers and have a new beginning every day!

Are you still fighting off old things, old flesh or maybe an old reputation that is no longer who you are as a child of God, carrying an unnecessary suitcase of baggage around?  If we believe in and have accepted Him, we have a new life.  You no longer have to carry around baggage of the past daily which is no longer who you are, and allow it to keep you from moving forward and living the abundant life God has in store for you.  Give it to Him for "In Him the old has passed away and all things have become new.  His mercies and grace are new every morning."  God accepts you, for who you are and as your are and He loves you unconditionally.  He has great plans in store for your life, if you will follow His lead and be who you feel Him directing you to be more and more each day.  You only need the love and approval of one person, God, and you already have it. God says you are acceptable, and a new Creation in Him!

Today, take heart in knowing  that in Him and with Him your future is bright.  He is for you and has incredible plans for you.  His grace and mercy is working on your behalf to take you to better things and places in life---that we may have never dreamed or even thought possible.  Knowing these things and that "with God all things are possible," how can we not be encouraged and excited about what each new day holds and what He is gonna do in our lives---today and in the future ?  How can we not be filled with Hope knowing He desires to lead us into His greater purpose and advance us and use us for greater purpose and bless our lives abundantly?  You may have seen this happen in the lives of others; but, how exciting it is knowing that He desires to do the same for you and me?  Today, let the presence of God fill you with Hope and His Spirit guide you into all He has for you in being your best.  Take heart in knowing when you do your best He'll do  the rest!  Thanks God!

"In Him, we are a new creation.  The old has passed away and all things have become new…His grace and mercies are new every morning…His love endures forever."

God Will Take Care of You.

"Peace is one of the most important benefits and greatest blessings God has given us.  However, in the busyness of rushing around, we often feel anything but peaceful. It doesn’t need to be that way.  As God's children, we have the wonderful privilege of walking in God’s supernatural peace, regardless of how busy we may be or what is going on around us." It's an inside job.

"I lived the first forty years of my life without the blessing of peace – I was miserable. I finally came to a point of being so hungry for peace that I was willing to work with God to make whatever changes were necessary in order to have it. Thankfully, I now enjoy a life of peace that often passes understanding. I am able to walk in the path of peace during the storms of life, not just when storms don’t exist."---(anonymous)

I'm grateful to have found God's sustaining peace in my life as well.  It's a priceless gift that I treasure, work hard to maintain and refuse to let anything or anyone steal my peace and joy.  "The formula for happiness is simple.  We will know happiness, completely, if we free our minds of resentments and the little or big stressors of life.  Happiness is a by-product of a healthy attitude, a positive outlook on life and a firm knowing that God has good things in store and great plans for our lives.   A healthy attitude is one that takes the normal turmoil of life and mixes it with a belief in God's presence and a firm knowing that He will take care of you and the details of your life if you entrust it to Him, allow Him to, and follow His lead to greater purpose.  The result is an acceptance of God's will, sustaining peace in your life and a certainty that in spite of appearances, what's going on around us, with others or with life---good or less than seemingly perfect, all is well.    After all, happiness is not a destination, it is a way of life---especially when you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is in control and will take care of you.

"God is my Light and my Salvation, whom shall I fear or dread?  He is my refuge and the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid…if God is for us, who can be against us…my Hope and victory are in You God!"

Grace that is Greater

God wants to restore true confidence in your life by healing you from things in your past that may have damaged the way you feel about yourself and your overall outlook on life.  As you look at what is right with God instead of what is (was) wrong with you, you will begin to walk in the confidence that comes from being in Him.  "I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I confidently trust!"

When we are frustrated, it is often because we are trying to hard to do something on our own strength, instead of putting our faith in God and receiving His grace to help. Let us learn to pray for help and what we'd like to be changed, and then cast our care on God. If He leads you to take some kind of action, then do it; but, if He doesn’t, then wait with peace before taking action.  Trust in Him---little faith can become great faith when we see the faithfulness of God as He meets our needs. You can become a person who enjoys great peace by trusting God.  "Ask and keep on asking, you will receive, so that your joy, gladness and delight may be full and complete."

No one ever said that just because we entered into a relationship with God that we would never face  adversity or that life would be all smooth sailing.  We all face adversity; but, if we stand in faith and confidence, knowing God's got us and is our strong arm, He will bring us through to victory, and God can end up up using what we've gone through to be a great encouragement to others.  What we've gone through  becomes our experience and it will not be in vain; but, will cause us to come out on the other side of adversity stronger.

" Be confident before God through His Grace and Spirit working within you for the things requested in prayer.   The believer does not display a shy, hesitant faith; but, a bold, confident position in grace, bold enough to approach God with any need and petition ultimately seeking God's plan, purpose and will for His or Her life.  "If we have entered into a relationship with our Creator and surrendered our will and lives to Him, believing in Him,  we are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by receiving His grace, unmerited favor and mercy.  God, help me to relax in your grace, to realize that you don't expect perfection. There is no condemnation in You. You'll never love me any more and never love me any less because of what I do or don't do.  Remind me again and again how much you love me unconditionally! " That's simply amazing which is why it's called "Amazing Grace!"

Come to me & find rest

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] "

"Some of you are carrying a yoke -- a heavy burden -- of the expectations that were put on you by others.  But most of us carry a yoke of burden that we've put on ourselves trying to prove that we matter.  We take on a heavy yoke that God never intended in order to prove that we're important when God says we're already important. "

"God's yoke is that we follow his purpose for our lives, and when we do that, things work out a whole lot better. When we go our own way in life, we hit one brick wall after another. In a sense, God says, 'Put on my purpose, my plan for your life.'"

How heavy is God's yoke? "The yoke I will give you is light."  Today, find strength and comfort in knowing God is with you and has a great plans for your life.  If your carrying around a ton of baggage which God doesn't desire you to, give it to Him and let Him refresh renew and provide strength for your entire being as you follow the greater plan and purpose He has for your life.  Be your best at being who you feel God would have you and reap the benefits He has in store for your life.

Waiting

"Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you."

"Have you been praying about a situation in your life and found yourself waiting for a breakthrough?  Sometimes when we pray long and hard about a situation in our life without receiving any answers, we just learn to live with it. We go on about our business, wondering if or when God will send the answer; but, God does hear those prayers, and He's working out the answers even though we may not know all the details and what's going on behind the scenes.  Our situation can change suddenly, quickly, without warning! "

"Until then we can either wait passively or expectantly. A passive person gives up; but,  the expectant person, on the other hand, is hopeful, believing the answer is just around the corner, due to arrive any minute. His belief is not a passive thing. His heart is full of hope, expecting the right answers to come at any moment. He wakes up every morning expecting to find his answer. He may wait and wait; but, he'll keep asking until suddenly, God turns everything around in the blink of an eye!"

Today, keep asking, seeking and knocking!  Your answer may be closer than you think.  Don't give up before your miracle happens as it may be just around the corner.  Don't force an answer on your own self-will and miss out on God's best for your life; but, wait with anticipation, hope and expectation and let God's good plans for your life unfold in His perfect timing.  God will answer and often when He does it's "exceedingly and abundantly above what we could ask, think or imagine."  Don't give up hope.  God has good plans for your life and your future and will provide what you need and often more, maybe not on our timeline; but exactly at the right time---His time!

WORDS

WORDS---Do you pick and choose yours carefully or do you say the first thing that comes to mind out of a state of emotion?  Do your words build up or tear down,  bringing hurt, heartache and division?  Do you make sure everyone knows your opinion on everything?  Do you talk to a person kindly to their face and then assassinate their character when they aren't around?  Do you think before you speak?

We can be kind with our words just as easily as we can be harsh---it actually takes less effort to be kind.  Recently I saw a gentleman at a restaurant be so rude to the cashier that I was actually embarrassed for him and his family that were around him.  He was simply paying his bill and could have chosen to be kind to the cashier; but, instead he had her in tears.  The restaurant was very busy and she was working as quickly as she could to get the gentleman checked out; but, she couldn't do anything right in the man's eyes.  She wasn't moving fast enough, and even after she politely thanked Him and counted his change,  he hatefully recounted it, every penny loudly,  blasting some expletives in the process about being short changed in the past at another restaurant.  In the grand scheme of things, nothing was wrong.  Nothing was wrong with their food, their server, etc., the gentleman was just being rude and made such an embarrassing scene.  How miserable it must be to live life that way---so  bitter, hateful and unkind and being unkind to others.  I felt God reminding me that we reap what we sow and it's just as easy to be kind as it is to be hateful and impolite.  "Power of life and death are in the tongue," and the "tongue can be as sharp as a two-edged sword."  We can be encouraging with our words or we can cause harm.

When you pay kindness forward with your words it comes back to you.  It's pleasing to God.  He sees it and honors us.  It's part of the golden rule "treating our others as we'd like to be treated."  It takes less effort to be kind than rude.  Today, pay kindness forward by building people up, keeping the peace and being kind to those you come in contact with; after all, you never know what battles they may be fighting in their own life.  Your kind words may be just what they need to get through the day.  God rewards kindness---"blessed are the peacemakers."  Today, "may the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing to God" and may I pay kindness forward and hopefully make someone's day a little brighter.  This not only honors others; but, it honors God and speaks volumes of one's character.  It gets His attention and in sowing good seeds, He'll be sure you reap an incredible harvest!

"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, my God, my Rock, my Foundation, my Deliverer, and my Redeemer.  For in you I have found Grace and Favor.  May I bestow the same grace, favor and kindness to others as I treat them the way I'd like to be treated."

Give Thanks with a GRATEFUL Heart!

"Give thanks for He is good…"

One simple concept can get us through the most stressful of times. It's called GRATITUDE!  It is the key that unlocks positives and blessings in our life as we give thanks and remain grateful to God regardless of what's going around us or in our lives.  Through faith, giving thanks and having gratitude we have the ingredients that open the doors and pave the pathway for God to work in our lives, turning problems into blessings, making beauty for ashes and release His blessings in our life.  Gratitude can turn life's challenges into unexpected gifts.

"Gratitude to God is the theme of Thanksgiving Day. The pilgrims gathered to give thanks to God for their harvest, which was pitifully small. When we look around at all the things we have today, how can we help but  be grateful to God? Our families, our homes, our friends, our fellowships, our day to day blessings, etc., all these things are free gifts of God to us. 'But for the grace of God,' we would not have them."

Today instead of focusing on what's wrong in your life, turn those things over to God and focus on what's right---with a heart of Thanksgiving and Gratitude.  This gets God's attention and paves the way through faith for His blessings and favor to unfold in our lives and for Him to continue leading us into the greater purpose He has for our lives.  Today, Give Thanks with a GRATEFUL Heart and watch God work in your life!  May we not forget where we might be;  but,  for the grace of God!

Living a Life of Gratitude

"Give thanks to the Lord.  He is good.  His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!”

"When you live with an attitude of constant gratitude, not only do you thank God for what He’s done in your life, you start thanking Him for what He will do in your life. You thank Him for opening doors for you. You thank Him for increasing you. You thank Him for bringing the right people into your life. When you say “Thank You” to God for the things that are coming, it’s really a declaration of your faith in Him. You are saying in essence, “God, I’m so sure of Your goodness, I’m so sure that You’re working in my life that I’m going to thank You right now for what You are going to do tomorrow!”

"The best days of our existence lie ahead."  All the strength we need to face anything is at hand.  Let go and let God help today.  He is good and has good things in store for our lives.  Today, live a life of gratitude and thanksgiving and experience the difference it makes.  Let's thank Him with gratitude for what He's done, is doing and is gonna do in our lives!

Watch the Signs

When we are traveling, it's important that we look for signs along the road to arrive at our destination.  With today's technology, gps's, smartphones with map applications, etc., have almost made hardcopy maps and road atlases obsolete.  This new technology makes it easy to arrive from point a to point b providing turn by turn directions to our destination and alerting us if we get off course.

On the road of life there are spiritual signs along the way as well.  Stay under God's protection and on the right path to His greater purpose for your life by following these signs, trusting Him and not worrying. Don't be afraid, have courage. These signs help us in decision making, knowing  which turns to take in life to follow God's lead into greater purpose.  If you'll pay attention to these signs, you'll find it's easy to stay on course and experience the protection, peace and joy that only God can provide. If you fail to heed the signs, the road gets rough, you may feel lost and less confident. You may make poor decisions or take wrong turns trying to find your own way, delaying the journey to the good things He has in store and wants to fulfill in your life.  You may become anxious about the unknowns waiting around the corner, and even veer off the road; but, take comfort in knowing if you get lost, God will find you and get you moving again in the right direction.

We don't have to be anxious because God guards our paths and preserves our way. Why waste time ignoring His signs, going it your own way, when it's not going to solve anything and simply delays His best for your life?  When we have an attitude of obedience, see and follow His spiritual signs and directions, we always arrive safely at the right destination He desires for our lives.

"He that has eyes to see let him see.  A seeing eye of faith, to see the greater purpose of God in everything and faith to see His care. He has brought you safely through your life so that you can be of use and fulfill your greater purpose in life. With eyes of faith you can see God's care and purpose everywhere."  Today, God help me to see and follow the spiritual signs that You've placed for me on the road of life. When I see them, I will obey them and follow Your directions safely through to the life of blessings and greater purpose you have in store!

Life is hard? Compared to what?

"When I hear somebody say "Life is hard," I am always tempted to ask, compared to what?" (Anonymous)

We've probably heard many of the negative quotes about life.  Certainly there are things in life that are harsh and cruel.  We see such things in the media every day.  Sometimes we may even experience tragedy in our own lives.   It seems the media thrives on reporting bad, tragic or negative press; but, there are some very wonderful things going on as well---everyday all around us. It seems that we've been conditioned to focus and give attention to the reported horrors and tragedy instead of the wonders and good things.

Do you look for the good in life or are you focused on the negative?  Good things happen in life everyday all around us.  Will you open our eyes and see them?  God is near everyday and working for the good of our lives.  Are you living in an awareness of His presence and His goodness so you see it and acknowledge it, giving Him thanks when good things happen---even the small things?  God wants to strengthen us so that no matter what happens, we'll be preserved and protected under His covering and assured He is good and has great plans for our lives.

Today, focus on the good, who God is, His grace, unchanging nature and the good things He's doing in your life and in the lives of those around you.  Regardless of circumstances and how you feel, hang on to God's unchanging character. Remind yourself what you know to be eternally true about God. He is good, He loves you, He is for you and with you and knows what you're going through.  He cares and He has good plans for your life.  "Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light." Trust God to keep his promises. During times of spiritual dryness or challenges of life, patiently rely on the promises of God, not your emotion.  Realize that He has you and your life in the palm of His hands and is taking you daily into deeper levels of spiritual maturity as you continue to walk with and grow in your relationship with Him daily.

Today, as you walk in awareness of God's goodness and the good things He's doing in your life, may you find a fresh positive outlook on life, a renewed sense of Hope, and a sense of unwavering gratitude that will sustain you through the ups and downs of life!

Grumbling or Gratitude

"It's virtually impossible to grumble when we're grateful."

It doesn't take much for most of us to look around and find a long list of things we have to be grateful for.  Even if things may have worked out differently than we'd hoped or planned or if we are dealing with adversity, gratitude and a spirit of thankfulness is one of the best antidotes for self-pity, depression, oppression, adversity and seemingly less than perfect or challenging times.

If we truly sit and made a list of "everything" we could think of, including all the day to day necessities God's blessed us with---the things that we may often take for granted, we would find our list would continue to fill. Our families, our homes, our friends, our various fellowships, all these things are gifts of God to us. “But for the grace of God,” we would not have them.

"Thankfulness opens your heart to My Presence and your mind to My thoughts. You may still be in the same place, with the same set of circumstances; but, it is as if a light has been switched on, enabling you to see from My perspective. It is this Light of My Presence that removes the sting from adversity."  Give Thanks to God for He is good.  His love, grace and tender mercies are new every morning.

May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing through the experience of your faith that by the power of God's spirit you may abound and be overflowing with blessings and hope!

> Listen Trust & Obey <

To find peace in our lives, we simply learn to obey the promptings God gives us each day. A prompting is a "knowing" deep down on the inside, telling us what to do---that God conscious within that points us in the right direction and alarms when we are about to make a wrong turn or decision.  A prompting isn't a whack on the head with a hammer (although it may seem to take that to get our attention if we are hard headed).  It doesn't even have to be a voice. God often gives direction by speaking to and touching our heart rather than our ears, so you may simply need to listen to and follow your heart.

As we learn to listen to God and follow His lead, we discover that things go well for us.  That's been my experience and the experience of so many I know.  No matter what the situation, listen to God, trust Him and obey His voice. You may not understand the reasons or Him leading you in a certain direction; but, as you listen, trust and obey, you'll experience a peaceful calmness as His greater plans for you unfold in your everyday life!

So today, listen up, trust and obey the promptings of God's still small voice inside.  When you follow your God conscious, you'll never go wrong for He'll never lead you astray. Today, take comfort and direction in the sound of the gentle stillness of God's voice, however you hear it, being assured you're on the right path and affirmed that He is very present and at work in your life!  How awesome is that!

God, I want Your peace, Your guidance, and Your direction for my life.  Today help me to listen, trust and obey your still small voice, however  I may hear it, with anticipation, excitement and expectation of the great things you have in store.  Today, I'll I listen, trust and obey!

God Causes Good

"How can I believe in God when just last week I got my tongue caught in the roller of an electric typewriter?"---(Anonymous)

When I read this today, I wasn't sure how to take it, then I burst into laughter.  Of course we see how dated the quote is---I don't know the last time I even saw a typewriter. In any regard, it was the principle and thought process behind the statement that got my attention, got me thinking and took me back to old thought patterns, beliefs and bad ideas about God.  Back when I used to believe and expect that God would cause bad things to happen to me if I fell short.  The old belief of a punishing God who was out to get me if I made 1 simple mistake or if I was doing my best and fell short of perfection.  Thank God He has set me free from those bad beliefs, mindsets and thought patterns and has truly shown me who He really is---a loving God who wants the best for His children.  A God who doesn't expect perfection knowing that we are human and whose grace is sufficient to cover all of our shortcomings and see us through whatever we may face.

I'm truly grateful for a renewed real sense of who God is in my life--- loving, forgiving, understanding and caring, who has incredible plans for His children and wants good things for us.  I do not believe God causes bad things to happen; but, shows Himself strong in the midst and on the other side of tragic situations.  Bad and tragic things happen in life and we don't always understand why; but, it's not always God's fault, even though He is often blamed.  We have free will and can suffer consequences for bad choices made in life---as in the statement above who would have really put their tongue close enough to an electric typewriter such that it would get caught.  Yeah, I don't think that’s God's fault---more like a poor choice of free will to do so.  In today's terms of technology with computers and such there's a common term for that---"user error".

Today, take comfort in knowing God's not mad at you or out to get you.  His grace covers your failures and shortcomings and is there faithfully to see you through whatever life brings your way.  He knows we are human, simply wants us to try our best and knows that at times we will fall short.  If He's out to get you, it's not in a negative sense; but, it's simply to get you to draw closer to His loving side so He can prove Himself strong and faithful in your life.  Today, remember "His plans for you are good, not evil.  To give you a future and a hope."  Yes, today I'm grateful that's the God I have come to know and I'm thankful that He shows up faithfully on a daily basis in our lives to see us through whatever life brings and whatever we may face.

Thank You

Most of us are taught when we are children to say "thank you" when we receive a gift or if someone did something nice for us.  What about God?  When you ask and He provides, do you say "Thank You" or do you just go on about your day taking it for granted as if it's just "His job"?   Do you live a life of gratitude which thanks Him for what He's done past, in the present and even what He's gonna do in your future.  That's a sign of a life lived with faith and gratitude in which He delights and rewards.

Today, don't forget to say "Thank You" to the one who woke you up today, gives you breath and another day to live and enjoy a blessed life!

"Give thanks to God for He is good.  His mercies and loving kindness are new each day and endure forever."

Your best

Often we get can get so caught up in performance that we can lose sight of the real purpose of what we are working to accomplish---the goal. Often perfectionism can set in and then we find ourselves disappointed if we fall short.  The good news is God is not disappointed in our  performance---yes He want us to be our best; but when we fall short His love for us doesn't change.

Today, do your best and let God do the rest.  He won't do for us what we can; but, He will gladly do for us what we can't!

•Just Pray•

Studies have shown that prayer lowers stress levels and can heal disease (and heartache). Many of us don’t need studies to believe in the miracle of prayer. We’ve experienced or witnessed its effectiveness as God has listened, heard our cries, and offered help.  Eloquent prayers are not required.  Simple sincere prayers from the heart just as if we are talking to a friend or family member are sufficient.  Prayer  is available to us any time. Furthermore, it’s free, and we cannot put a price tag on the benefits.

Today, no matter what you face or may be going through, have you prayed about it?  Just pray.  Even if all you can utter is "God help", it's a start.  That's where my prayer life began and it's grown to be so much more!  Try it and let God show you just how awesome and real He can be in your life!

"Ask and you shall receive.  Seek and you will find..."

Be Still and Know...

•Be Still and Know…•

" Today’s life can be very noisy. If we allow it, all of us can live stressed, uptight, in a hurry and on edge. In the midst of the whirlwind of activity going on around us, with God's help we learn to not let the busyness, the frustration and stress get on the inside of us. It may be hectic on the outside; but, deep down in your spirit, you can be at rest because you know God has you and your life, past, present and future in the palm of His hand.

Maybe you have been worried for a long time or stressed because a dream hasn’t come to pass or upset over a challenge you’re dealing with. 'There may be trouble all around; but, I am calling you to a place of peace. Be still and know that I am God.  Come to Me, and I will give you wisdom, strength and grace for everything you face.' "

"Be still and know that I am God."
"My grace Is sufficient."
"My strength is made perfect in your weakness."

Eyes

"Often, we merely have to give up where  our eyes are focused and look through the eyes of faith and see things in a different way, God's way.  When we do this, we are rewarded with a new vision, one that lets us discover our true potential and the good things He has in store for our lives."

• God does a better job … •

"I'm getting used to the fact that God does a better job of running my life than I do."

"Once we make the decision and turn our will and our life over to the care of God (surrender),  things begin to happen. We are likely to find ourselves being drawn to spiritual people. Maybe we'll read a book or hear something as simple as the lyrics of a song that God uses to speak to us in a special way. God is acting on our decision, and we find ourselves a great deal happier in God's care than our own."

"God, I offer myself to thee, to build with me and do with me as thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do Thy will.  Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy power, Thy love, and Thy way of life.  May I do Thy will always!"

Where does your help come from?

"And I know who I believe in and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which He has committed..."

"What He chooses to do does not always make sense to us. It does not always fit into our balance of reason. We have a tendency to want things to make sense; but, God wants us to learn to be led by our trust and not by our understanding. We should thank God that His ways are not our ways. Many of us could say our life would have turned out badly if God had given us our way in many situations. It is wise for us to pray, "Your will be done, Lord, not mine."

"For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does…" especially knowing  "…the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, are plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you."  What comfort it brings that regardless of where we are and if we're in a time of waiting on God, we can walk in anticipation and expectation of His good plans for our life to unfold.

"In our time of prayer and meditation, we again seem to hear: "Come unto me, all ye that are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Again and again we seem to hear God saying this to us "Come unto me" for the solution of every problem, for the overcoming of every temptation, for the calming of every fear, for all our need, physical, mental, or spiritual; but, mostly "come unto me" for the strength we need to live with peace of mind and the power to be useful and effective."

Today, "May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of His Spirit you may abound and be overflowing …"

What's the status of your "NOW" Faith?

NOW:  at this present time; currently; at this moment; presently; this minute; without further ado; at this moment in time.

What's the current status of your "NOW" Faith?  Not yesterday's faith, not your faith last week, last month or last year; but, "NOW", today---right at this moment.  " 'NOW FAITH'...---If it's not now, it's not faith! "  The entire concept of Faith rests on being certain of the unseen.  The fact that something is unseen does not make it unreal.  "Call things that aren't, with "NOW" Faith, as though they are "NOW".  Claim God's favor "NOW" for your life and over your circumstances.  Fix your attention on God's promises "NOW" and let your Hope graduate into Faith!

" 'NOW' Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. "   Are you looking "NOW" for God's favor and are you seeing the evidence of Him working in your everyday life---even the smallest details?  Are you living in the "NOW" fact that God is for you and with you as you go about your day?  Could it be that the 1st parking spot you got at grocery store or bank was God's favor in the "NOW" making your day a little better?  Could it be that the unexpected discount on a purchase or the unexpected check that came in the mail was God's favor working "NOW"?   Are you looking through the eyes of "NOW" Faith to see God at work as you seek God's answers, guidance, provision and the right doors to open for something bigger your believing Him for?

Today, may your "NOW" Faith, your believing, looking for, expecting, open the doors for you to receive God's blessings and best plans for your life!  Let keeping this "NOW" Faith active present tense, building stronger each day, cause you to experience the fullness of God and take you to places of greater purpose and accomplish things in your life you never even imagined!   "NOW FAITH...If it's not "NOW" it's not Faith" and it could be holding you back from God's best for your life.

When we don't know what to do

"If you need wisdom -- if you want to know what God wants you to do -- ask Him, and He will gladly tell you."

We all have times that something  in life crops up and we don't know what to do.  You can have trouble all around you — stress, frustration and worry; but, the good news is, you don’t have to allow what’s on the outside get on the inside and rob you of your peace, serenity and joy.  When difficult times come, you don’t have to be overwhelmed by the waves of worry or fear.

"Since we couldn’t do anything about it ourselves, we put our whole problem into the hands of God. We turned the whole thing over to Him.  We have nothing more to do about it, except to trust God to take care of the problem for us and follow His divine guidance for our lives."

Today leave your problems, life's challenges and the things that your not sure of what to do about in God's hands.  Remember He's got you and that encompasses any issues in your life that are of concern to you.  If you'll let God work in your life and leave yourself, your life and your problems in God's hands, you'll be in good hands.  God will move on your behalf, give you divine guidance and the wisdom to know what, if anything, is required of you or He will resolve your issue and give you favor and a good report!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and he will make your paths straight and crown your efforts with success."

• Bend so you don't break •

Who can really say they don't like to get their way?  We've likely all seen toddlers and children, cry, "pitch a fit" or throw a "temper tantrum" when they don't get their way.  While (to a degree) this may be funny or cute, it's not so cute when it's an adult.  Who knows when we don't get our way what God maybe doing behind the scenes that fits in with His greater plans for our lives?

God desires us to live at peace with our fellow man to the best of our ability and that requires a little give and take---some bending.  With some people this seems a tall order and virtually impossible no matter how hard we try.  Then there's the fine line between living at peace with others and people pleasing or being a "doormat".

Being flexible (bending) is critical to having peaceful relationships.  Instead of demanding our own way, sometimes we need to be flexible and look at things from a different perspective.  Yes, there may be times we have to take a stand if it's going against who God is calling us to be.  Then there are times that we need to "bend so we don't break."  Let God guide you and you'll know when and how.  When we do this to the best of our ability, God sees it, knows our heart and will honor us for making our best efforts to live and keep peace with our fellowman while walking in His greater purpose for our lives.

"Live at peace with your fellow man, forgiving others as God has forgiven you ... Love is not self-seeking nor does it insist on it's own way."

IMPERFECTIONS---God uses imperfect people for greater good everyday!

God allows room for our imperfections.  He doesn't expect us to be perfect; just the best we can at any given moment.  He knows when we are trying and giving our best efforts.  He knows there will be times in which we will make mistakes and His grace covers those shortcomings---not to be an excuse to continue in bad behaviors; but to learn from them.  God see's when we are working to be our best and knows sometimes we are gonna miss the mark.

Being a perfectionist really puts undue pressure on us which God doesn't require.  God wants us to be our best; but, knows we are not going to be perfect.  We are human and learn through times that our imperfections, shortcomings and failures are revealed as areas in our lives that need work.  We gain understanding walking through an experience.  I only know of one who was perfect.  God hasn't called us to be perfect; but just our best, living our lives the way He'd have us to the best of our ability.

"The God we serves doesn't seek out the perfect; but, instead uses our imperfections and shortcomings for greater good.  I am humbled by my own limitations; but, where I am week, He is strong."

+ God Centered Living, Loving and Laughing +

When our hearts are God-centered and filled with love and laughter, we'll find no experience too difficult to handle.

An attitude of God's love helps us find gratitude in abundance. We'll never doubt that all is well when God, His love and Grace are at the core of our being and reflected in our thoughts, words and actions.

We'll have fewer amends to make, fewer messes to clean up and spend our time more positively productive as we act in God's will instead of self-will---being who He'd have us be first and foremost!

Be Blessed Walking in Humility and God's Grace.

“Do not be overcome by evil; but, overcome evil with good.”

We've all heard the phrase "turn the other cheek"?  Unfortunately today that is not always a common practice in our society.  Domestic violence rates are at a staggering all time high and people battle and abuse each other often to the point of death every day.  It's more like an "eye for an eye".  Don't get me a wrong, I'm not a believer that we as children of God are doormats and should just allow people to run all over us; but, I do believe when we are walking humbly with God He gives us the grace to stand up for ourselves, stand our ground and stand for what's right, handling situations as He'd have us with humility, grace and dignity.  Remember, "A kind word turns always wrath" and I've seen this work time and again.

It's not easy when your being disrespected or treated unfairly to be kind; but, God makes it possible and gives us the grace to do so.  How we respond in situations can completely turn around the outcomes and make an impression on others that shows the love of God.  When somebody’s rude or inconsiderate, don’t sink down to their level.  If you're going to rise higher, if you are going to overcome, if your going to live a blessed life, do just the opposite. Take the higher road and show kindness, grace and mercy.  "God opposes the proud; but, gives grace to the humble.”

"Getting even with people doesn't do any good. When we try to get revenge, instead of making us feel better, it leaves us frustrated and cheated. Instead of punishing our enemies, we've only hurt our own peace of mind. It does not pay to nurse a grudge; it hurts us more than anyone else. Hate causes frustration, inner conflict, and neurosis."

Today, walk humbly with God and overcome evil, difficult people and difficult situations by doing good. Show mercy and sow mercy, remembering that we reap what we sow.  Be grateful that "we don't have to attend every fight we're invited too."  Receive His grace, His power, and His strength to be everything and who He’s called you to be.  When you do, God see's this and He will honor, bless and give you favor and take you to places in life you never thought possible---further fulfilling the good plans He has for your life.  "...and if our God is for us, what can stand against us."
